Images of Scarlett Johansson on the New York set of Marvel Studios’ upcoming superhero mash-up film The Avengers have hit the web. The shots give us a glimpse of Johansson in her Black Widow and Natasha Romanoff outfits.

The Avengers is directed by Joss Whedon and costars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel Jackson (Nick Fury), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill).

The Avengers arrives in theaters on May 4, 2012.
