British actress Gemma Arterton broke into movies the hard way—by being gorgeous and willing to show off some skin. After a notable turn in the 2008 Bond flick Quantum of Solace (she played Strawberry Fields), Arterton has had no problem locking down high profile roles.
The 24-year-old stunner will be seen this year in Warner Bros. highly anticipated remake Clash of the Titans and in Michael Bay’s epic video game adaptation Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. But, it’s her role in a low-budget U.K. abduction-thriller that is generating much buzz among those of us who watch movies with our hands down our pants.
The Disappearance of Alice Creed stars Arterton as a kidnap victim trying to outwit the ex-cons holding her captive.

The film reportedly includes scenes of torture and feature Arterton in the nude.
She tells GQ magazine:
It was made in a shed on the Isle of Man. Film making at its purest: no money and no time. But really good actors and a really good script. There was a bit of resistance from some, wondering if it was a good idea for me to do this film. It’s quite violent and there’s nudity in it but that’s why I wanted to do it.
The Disappearance of Alice Creed arrives in U.K. theaters on April 30 from CinemaNX. Sadly, no word on U.S. distribution yet.

Is there any way I could see this film, or any scenes without having to go to the cinema?
