Former “popcorn star” Demi Moore won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy at the 2025 Golden Globes Award Show for her role in The Substance. The win comes on the heels of Moore’s esteemed victory for Best Nude Acting In Horror, presented by premiere horror site Clatto Verata.

The 62-year-old stunner goes full-frontal and back in The Substance, marking her first nude role since 1996’s Striptease.

Moore said:

This is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor. Thirty years ago, I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress and at that time, I made that mean that [awards] weren’t something that I was allowed to have, that I could do movies that were successful, that made a lot of money, but that I couldn’t be acknowledged.

The Substance stars Moore as an aging starlet who regains her youthful beauty when she uses a black market drug to spawn a younger version of herself (Margaret Qualley). The rub is both identities must swap consciousness every seven days. Things go bonkers when the gilf persona grows jealous of her gorgeous younger self and her younger self longs to party every night at her older body’s expense.
