Breakthrough Entertainment and Black Fawn Films have released a trailer for Cody Calahan’s feature film debut Antisocial, a viral outbreak thriller written by Chad Archibald (Neverlost) and starring pretty newcomer Michelle Mylett.
Mylett stars as a woman looking to get over a bad breakup done through a social media by attending a New Year’s Eve party with close friends. Unfortunately for all, a viral outbreak goes global and they’re forced to barricade themselves indoors, using only their smart phones and laptops to stay informed.
Those familiar with Clatto know we favor the romantic side of horror. That is why we’re pumped for writer Steve Wolsh’s directorial debut Muck, an indie frightener that not only boasts practical effects, but promises plenty of nudity from a bevy of hot scream queens.
The synopsis reads:
Tattered and bloody, a group of friends were lucky to escape the thick New England marsh and take shelter in an empty vacation home on Cape Cod, though they will soon realize that the lucky ones are those that are already dead…
Wolsh wrote the blood and boobs slasher Know Models Were Harmed so we have no doubt Muck is gonna deliver. Need more assurance? The film stars 2012 Playmate of the Year Jaclyn Swedberg (pictured above), Miss Cape Cod 2013 Audra Van Hees and Miss Cape Cod 2012 Ashley Green Elizabeth.
Lauren Francesca
Additional babes include Lauren Francesca , Puja Mohindra (“All My Children”), Stephanie Danielson (‘Femme Fatales”), Victoria Sophia (Cannibal Zombie), Gia Skova (Heart Stopper), Laura Jacobs, Leila Knight and, for diehard gore-hounds, Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th, Hatchet).

Season four of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is set to premiere on Oct. 13. To whet our appetites, the network has released a behind-the-scenes featurette that finds producers and stars of the show promising more decrepit zombies, bigger stunts and darker stories.
Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) reveals that winter has come and gone since last season and series creator Robert Kirkman hints at new emerging dangers that could prove more deadly than the undead and/or people.
“American Horror Story” alumna Alexandra Breckenridge is returning to the anthology series for its upcoming third season, “American Horror Story: Coven.” Fans of the Ryan Murphy produced show will remember Breckenridge as Young Moira O’Hara, the Harmon’s seductive, scantly-clad housekeeper.
Murphy tweeted:
Very happy to announce the lovely and talented Alexandra Breckenridge will be joining AHS: Coven.
“American Horror Story: Coven” follows a group of Salem witches as they flee to the South. The show stars Jessica Lange as the witch Fiona, Sarah Paulson as as her daughter Cordelia, Kathy Bates as real-life Louisiana-born socialite and serial killer Madame LaLurie and Angela Bassett as real-life voodoo queen Marie Laveau.
Alexandra Breckenridge really does clean up nice...
Also returning for season three are Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, Jamie Brewer and Evan Peters. New faces include Emma Roberts (Scream IV), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious), Patti Lupone (“Life Goes On”), Grey Damon (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters) and Denis O’Hare (“True Blood”).
“American Horror Story: Coven” premieres in October on FX.
A trailer has gone online for Fox Home Entertainment’s Fright Night 2, a remake of the recently remade Tom Holland vampire thriller, masquerading as a sequel. This time out, Charlie Brewster and his BFF “Evil” Ed Bates are studying abroad when they discover that their hot teacher is a vampire.
Fright Night 2 is directed by Eduardo Rodriguez (Stash House) and penned by Matt Venne (Mirrors 2). The trailer doesn’t make the film look as fun as Tom Holland’s original Fright Night and its awesome 2011 remake, but oft-nude actress Jaime Murray (“Spartacus: Gods of the Arena”) does star as the hot vamp.
Fright Night 2 arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 1.
A red-band trailer has gone online for Universal Home Entertainment’s Curse of Chucky. Directed by franchise creator and writer Don Mancini, the sequel finds the not-so Good Guy Doll (voiced once again by Brad Dourif) getting his kill on during a family funeral.
The trailer provides plenty of violent mayhem, including the regrettable murder of one red lingerie clad girl (Maitland McConnell). I’m guessing Chucky’s lack of one very important doll part makes him extra grumpy. Curse of Chucky arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 8.
Ocean’s Light Productions has released a trailer for John Campopiano and Justin White’s Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sementary, an upcoming documentary on Mary Lambert’s 1989 movie adaptation of the Stephen King bestseller.
The film features exclusive interviews with cast and crew, including Lambert and leads Denise Crosby, Dale Midkiff and Miko Hughes, who played the Creed’s back-from-the-dead son. The film also provides an extensive look at the making of the film and the origins of its story.
Open Road has released a new trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s star-studded sequel Machete Kills. The clip reveals more of the film’s plot and provides a look at some of the outrageous kills in store. It also gives us a peek at beauty queen Amber Heard and villain Mel Gibson.
Machete Kills finds ex-federale Machete (Danny Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to take down a billionaire arms dealer (Gibson) looking to trigger a world war. The Quickdraw Productions’ film swings into theaters on Oct. 11.
Producer Joe Danteand director Nick Basile (American Carny: True Tales from the Circus Sideshow) have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for Dark, a psychological thriller set during the 2003 New York City blackout.
The synopsis reads:
Kate, a struggling 30-something model with a troubled past, has just moved into her girlfriend Leah’s Brooklyn loft but already doubts about their relationship have begun to loom.
When Leah leaves for the weekend, Kate unexpectedly finds herself alone in the apartment in the midst of the worst blackout in North American history.
As darkness falls over the city, Kate’s paranoia grows and she begins to believe someone in the building is stalking her. With no one to help her and escape out of reach, Kate is forced to confront her deepest fears as she fights to survive through the night.
If that’s not good enough to give up the skrilla you earn at your soul-killing job 40-hours a week, then keep in mind that the film stars “American Horror Story” babe Alexandra Breckenridge (she was the young maid) and Monsters stunner Whitney Able (pictured).
Vanessa Hudgens is currently in talks with Sony Pictures to star in The Kitchen Sink, a horror-comedy in which a group of teens join forces with vampires and zombies to fight off an alien invasion. As silly as that sounds, the Oren Uziel-penned script was part of 2010’s Black List.
The film is directed by Robbie Pickering (Natural Selection) and co-stars Denis Leary (Amazing Spider-Man), Nicholas Braun (Red State), Mackenzie Davis (Smashed), Josh Fadem (Miss March) and Chris Zylka (Piranha 3DD).
TheWrap reports that Hudgens will play a popular teen whose life is in danger when aliens invade earth. Hudgens, who came to fame in Disney’s High School Musical franchise, has starred in a string of genre offerings, including Beastly, Sucker Punch and the upcoming Frozen Ground and Machete Kills.
