“Arrested Development” and “Ally McBeal” stunner Portia de Rossi is the latest actor to join NBC’s “Mockingbird Lane,” a reboot of the ’60s sitcom “The Munsters.” The 39-year-old will play matriarch Lily Munster.

The Munster clan includes Jerry O’Connell as Herman, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie and Charity Wakefield as “homely” cousin Marilyn. Show creator Bryan Fuller (“Pushing Daisies”) describes the program as “an ‘American Horror Story’ that the whole family can watch.”

Rossi, best known these days for her comedic turns in the TV shows “Better of Ted” and “Arrested Development,” does have some notable genre creds, including the Wes Craven frighteners Cursed and Scream 2, Rupert Wainwright’s Stigmata and her very nude debut Sirens.
