dont-go-in-the-woods-poster

Tribeca Film has released a trailer for actor Vincent D’Onofrio’s feature film directorial debut Don’t Go in the Woods, a controversial piece of commentary on why hipster musicians should all have their heads bashed in with big rocks.

Peep it:

The film’s official synopsis reads:

Vincent D’Onofrio explores love, greed and ruthlessness in this twisted musical/horror hybrid, telling the story of a young band who heads to the woods to get away from their everyday lives in order to focus on writing new songs.

Hoping to walk away from the trip with new tunes that will score them their big break, they instead find themselves in the middle of a nightmare beyond comprehension.

D’Onofrio is best known for his acting roles on NBC’s “Law and Order: Criminal Intent” and Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1987 Vietnam War drama Full Metal Jacket. He’s slated to star opposite Julia Ormond in Jennifer Lynch’s upcoming serial killer drama Rabbit.

Don’t Go in the Woods makes its premiere on Dec. 26 on Amazon Watch Instantly, iTunes, Vudu, and cable VOD. It will have a limited theatrical run sometime in January.

Rachel Nichols Joins a Cat-Fight Club in ‘Raze’

rachel-nichols-zoe-bell-raze-catfight

Rachel Nichols (Conan the Barbarian) is facing off against stunt-woman-turned-actress Zoe Bell (Death Proof) in Cosmic Toast Studios’ indie survival-frightener Raze: Fight or Die. Details are scarce, but producers describe the film as being a female Fight Club-meets-Hostel hybrid.

A teaser for the flick has been released and it shows Nichols and Bell threatening each other. Now, I’m totally in Nichols’ corner, but Bell is looking pretty butch these days. Something tells me Nichols is in trouble.

Danica-McKellar-Tasmanian-Devil

What would you do if I told you that Danica McKellar was to star in a Syfy original movie? Would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend me your eyes and I’ll write you a post. I will try not to make it sound as awful as it’ll be.

Danica McKellar, best known for playing Winnie Cooper on the late ’80s dramedy “The Wonder Years,” has signed on to star in Vesuvius Productions’ new creature-feature Tasmanian Devil. Production on the project, which is set to premiere on Syfy sometime next year, is currently underway in British Columbia.

Tasmanian Devil follows a group of base jumpers as they’re hunted down by bear-sized Tasmanian Devils during a visit to a national park (I bet someone’s sorry they didn’t take that left turn at Albuquerque ). The film costars “Jericho” star Kenneth Mitchell and eight-time Winter Olympics medalist Apolo Ohno.

Kelly_Brook_Breasts_Leather

Kelly Brook (Piranha 3-D) has wrapped a guest spot on WE Productions’ new French television series “Metal Hurlant Chronicles.” No word on what role Brook plays in the sci-fi actioner, but production stills show that her character utilizes some pretty big guns.

The series, already greenlit for two seasons—each made up of 12 thirty-minute episodes—will air in Italy, Germany, Poland, and Russia next year. Episodes are also being shot in English so American and U.K. versions may soon follow.

Directed by Guillaume Lubrano, “Metal Hurlant Chronicles” stars Rutger Hauer (Hobo with a Shotgun), Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite), Scott Adkins (Universal Soldier: A New Dimension) and James Marsters (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”).

The show is a live action adaptation of the 1974 French comic book series “Metal Hurlant Chronicles.” It was adapted as “Heavy Metal Magazine” in the U.S. in 1977, and produced in 1981 as the animated feature Heavy Metal.

Sharni-Vinson-tight-bikini

Aussie up-and-comer Sharni Vinson is set to star in director Mark Hartley’s (Machete Maidens Unleashed) remake of renowned genre filmmaker Richard Franklin’s (Psycho 2, Cloak & Dagger) 1978 Australian frightener Patrick.

When a beautiful nurse (Vinson) is assigned to his care, he uses psychokinetic powers to communicate with her and to destroy those who get in the way of his new found obsession.

‘Black Swan’ Director Darren Aronofsky Says Meth is Bad, MMKay?

mr-mackey-drugs-are-bad

If you thought acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky was on drugs when he made Black Swan, The Fountain and Requiem for a Dream, rest assured it probably wasn’t meth. The guy hates that stuff. He hates it so much that he stepped away from his upcoming bible-based epic Noah to shoot four anti-meth PSA videos.

The 30-second PSA’s are for The Meth Project Foundation, an organization dedicated to the prevention of meth use through outreach programs and marketing. I thought to post all four of Aronofsky’s videos, but they were kinda killing my high … so you only get the one with the camel-toe and crank-bugs.

expendables-giselle-itie-sexy-undies

Giselle Itié, the Mexican-born and Brazilian-raised actress who made her American feature film debut as beautiful revolutionary Sandra Garza in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables, has jumped on board Chilean director Jorge Olguin’s ghost ship frightener Caleuche.

The film stars Itié as a terminally ill Boston-based marine biologist who sets out to visit the island of her ancestors and discovers their link to the Caleuche, a large phantom vessel known to sail the seas of Chiloé at night in search of drowned spirits.

The ship is manned by two sisters—a siren named Chilota and a water-spirit called Pincoya—and their brother Pincoyo, a male water-spirit who happens to be married to his Pincoya sister (kinky!). The $2 million ChileFilms and Olguin Films production is set to roll camera in Santiago, the capital city of Chile.

Vanessa-Hudgens-Journey-2-Mysterious-Island

Warner Bros. has released a trailer for director Brad Peyton’s (Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore) fam-fantasy actioner Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the sequel to the studio’s 2008 blockbuster Journey to the Center of the Earth, starring Brendan Fraser.

This time out, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson steps into Fraser’s mountain boots as Sean Anderson’s (Josh Hutcherson) step-father. Together, they set out to find Sean’s grandfather (Michael Cain) on a mysterious island with the help of a hired helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his hot daughter (Vanessa Hudgens).

OK, so this isn’t the usual dark fare we spotlight on Clatto, but there’s like a miniature elephant in the movie and it’s just so … I mean, wow check out Hudgens’ rack in that tank top.
