Kristen Stewart (Snow White and the Huntsman), Lily Collins (Mirror, Mirror) and Ginnifer Goodwin (“Once Upon a Time”) aren’t exactly the apple of your eye in their respective Snow White roles, you may want to take a look at Shanley Caswell in Snow White: A Deadly Summer.

Directed by David DeCoteau (Puppet Master: Axis of Evil), the re-imagining finds Snow White being sent away to camp by her wicked stepmother. Once there, she befriends seven campers who mysteriously start to turn up dead one-by-one.

Snow White: A Deadly Summer costars Eric Roberts (of course it does) and OG “Brady Bunch” star Maureen McCormick. No word on a release date, but I’ll keep you Dopey bastards updated.

Looks like someone has taken their love of megalodons too far. And, that someone is B-movie director Fred Olen Ray. The man behind Bikini Frankenstein, Bikini Royal, and Bikini Girls from the Lost Planet is set to introduce a giant amphibious maneater in his upcoming creature-feature Super Shark.

Genre babe Sarah Lieving (Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus) stars as a marine biologist investigating an offshore drilling accident that has freed a prehistoric shark and given it the ability to fly and walk on dry land. Costars include John Schneider (“Dukes of Hazard”),  Jimmie Walker (“Good Times”), and—of course—a bevy of bikini babes.

Super Shark arrives on DVD in February 2012.

Reepicheep, I’ve a feeling Anna Popplewell isn’t in Narnia anymore. In fact, I know the now 22-year-old starlet was in the U.K. shooting writer/director John Hales’ upcoming indie-slasher Passengers.

The Ratio Film production centers on a group of teens targeted by a killer after purposely murdering the woman they hit with their car while on a drunken joyride. No word on whether the psychopath sports a hook or if the action is set during last summer.

Passengers also stars Sophie Colquhoun (Captain America) and these dudes: Jack Derges, Danny Szam, Ian Weichardt, Calvin Dean and Tom Bacon.

Popplewell is, of course, best known for her role as Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia franchise.

Tired of watching It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street every Christmas season? If so, it may be time to start a new movie tradition with the help of the programming jokers at Syfy. On Saturday, Dec. 10, the network will premiere its holiday chiller Snowmaggedon.

The Cinete-production follows the Miller family as they attempt to destroy a mysterious snow globe with the power to bring forth disastrous weather conditions. “Caprica’s” Magda Apanowicz (pictured above) stars with Michael Hogan (“Battlestar Galactica”) and David Cubitt (“Medium”).

Apanowicz’s genre creds include a toplining role in the 2007 supernatural thriller Devil’s Diary and bit parts in Jim Gunn’s Slither and the Ashton Kutcher vehicle The Butterfly Effect. She is best known, however, for her roles as Lacy Rand on “Caprica” and as Andy Jensen on “Kyle XY.”

HBO has released a behind-the-scenes featurette for season two of its acclaimed fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” The clip provides a look at Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell (King Robert’s brother’s wife) and commentary from producer/writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

“Game of Thrones” season two will consist of 10 episodes spanning the length of the book “A Clash of Kings,” the second volume in author  George R.R. Martin’s popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire.” The show is slated to premiere in April.

Canadian starlet Amanda Crew is toplining director Robert Cuffley’s Ferocious, a delightfully sleazy-sounding thriller that finds Crew playing a popular American actress out to retrieve a humiliating sex tape of herself shot during her days as a stripper.

The film’s official synopsis reads:

Leigh Parish (Crew) is the star on one of North America’s most popular TV shows. Beautiful, charismatic…her star’s ascension seems to have no ceiling.

On a return trip home and during a standard paint-by-number television interview, one of the phone in callers trips her up, unearthing an all-consuming anxiety within Leigh…one she had hoped was permanently buried.

Maurice is Leigh’s former boss, back when she worked in a sleazy nightclub, long before becoming famous. In his possession is a videotape with Leigh as the star. If distributed, the tape would effectively end Leigh’s career in the entertainment business.

The mere thought of the tape is enough to get Leigh’s blood pressure to rise. Maurice knows this and is intent on extorting Leigh for the rest of her life. But Leigh isn’t paying Maurice another nickel. She’s going to break into the club, retrieve the tape and destroy it. Or so the plan goes…

Or, so the plan goes? Hmm. Maybe she doesn’t get the tape back and instead goes on to land a Ryan Seacrest produced-reality show … terrifying.

Crew made her feature film debut in the 2006 frightener Final Destination 3. She has since gone on to star in Rampart Films’ upcoming sci-fi drama The Repeaters, the 2008 Lionsgate sleeper A Haunting in Connecticut and Summit’s criminally underrated—but hilarious Sex Drive.

Ferocious will shoot in Saskatoon, Canada through mid-December. Kim Coates (“Sons of Anarchy”) Stephen Huszar (30 Days of Night: Dark Days), Michael Eklund (The Divide) and Amy Matysio (Rabbit) costar.

From the demented minds behind the family classic Dead Hooker in a Trunk comes the new feel-good movie American Mary. Katharine Isabelle, best known for toplining the Ginger Snaps franchise, stars as a broke and bored med school student who starts to work the underground surgeries circuit for profit and thrills.

American Mary is the story of a medical student named Mary who is growing increasingly broke and disenchanted with medical school and the established doctors she once idolized.

The allure of easy money sends a desperate Mary through the messy world of underground surgeries, which leaves more marks on her than the so-called freakish clientele.

The Twisted Twins productions is written and directed by twin sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska. The film costars Paula Lindberg (“Eureka”), Antonio Cupo (Saint Sinner), David Lovgren (Cool Runnings), Twan Holliday (Pathfinder), and Tristan Risk.

Kelly Overton is ready to run with the big dogs on season five of the HBO vampire soap “True Blood.” The 33-year-old stunner will play a “dirty and beautiful” werewolf named Rikki who is out to uncover what has happened to her pack leader.

Overton, whose genre work includes Anchor Bay’s Tekken and DreamWork’s The Ring Two, joins a growing cast of guest stars that includes Italian actress Valentina Cervi (Jane Eyre) as seductive vampire Salome and Louis Herthum (Last Exorcism) as an elder werewolf.

Her character arch will run for six episodes, but does hold the possibility of turning into a recurring role. Season five of “True Blood’ is expected to premiere next summer. Hopefully it won’t blow fairy balls like season four did.

“Chuck” starlet Yvonne Strahovski will wake the dead in Lakeshore Entertainment’s I, Frankenstein, a futuristic re-imagining of Mary Shelly’s classic novel adapted from Kevin Grevioux’s (“Underworld”) graphic comic.

A sequel of sorts, I, Frankenstein reveals that Victor Frankenstein’s monster (Aaron Eckhart) did not commit suicide, but is instead living in a Gothic metropolis where two immortal clans have been feuding for centuries. Strahovski will play a scientist duped into reanimating the dead by a demon leader (Bill Nighy).

The Stuart Beattie-directed film will shoot this winter in Australia and is slated for release on Feb. 2, 2013.

Strahovski, who is coming off the Jason Statham action vehicle Killer Elite, is best known for her role as CIA agent Sarah Walker on the NBC comedy “Chuck.” Her horror creds include the Australian outback frightener Gone and Magnolia Pictures’ man-vs-wild thriller The Canyon.

Gone is Brazilian director Heitor Dhalia’s (Adrift) American film debut and stars Amanda Seyfried (In Time) as a woman who discovers that the man who abducted her and tried to kill her two years ago has now kidnapped her sister.

The thriller is written by Allison Burnett (Untraceable) and costars Jennifer Carpenter (“Dexter”), Wes Bentley (Rites of Passage, Sebastian Stan (Black Swan), Joel David Moore (Avatar), Erin Carufel (The Lincoln Lawyer) and Emily Wickersham (I Am Number Four).

Gone arrives in theaters on Feb. 24, 2012.
