Katharine McPhee & Sara Paxton Reeled in for ‘Shark Night 3-D’

Katharine

Director David R. Ellis (The Final Destination 3-D) has reeled in former “American Idol” contestant Katharine McPhee and Last House on the Left rape victim Sara Paxton for his upcoming creature-feature Shark Night 3-D. McPhee and Paxton join a cast that includes Chris Carmack (The Butterfly Effect 3), Alyssa Diaz (Red Dawn), Joel David Moore (Avatar), Dustin Milligan (The Messengers) and Sinqua Walls (Savage County).

Shark Night 3-D follows a group of college friends as they encounter man-eating sharks while vacationing at a lake house (I’m guessing bull sharks). Cameras are set to roll on the project later this month in Shreveport, LA.

I’m curious to see if the film will go for genuine scares or play up the kitschy factor ala Piranha 3-D. Either way, adding a porn star to the project couldn’t hurt.

Sara Paxton makes a strong pro-3D argument.

Sara Paxton makes a strong pro-3D argument.

Paxton, who has a string of family-friendly features, broke out of her good girl image by taking the lead in 2009’s brutally violent—and so-much-better-than-the-original—remake of Wes Craven’s The Last House on the Left. She can next be seen in director Ti West’s upcoming haunted-hotel thriller The Innkeepers.

McPhee is best known for placing second on Fox TV’s “American Idol” competition. Her only stroke-worthy turn on film has been opposite Anna Faris in the must-see comedy The House Bunny.

McPhee and Paxton aren’t the only babes starring in a shark flick. Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry and newcomer Lorraine Nicholson (Jack’s daughter) will face off against maneaters of their own in their respective films Dark Tide and Soul Surfer.

Is Megan Fox a Strange, Eccentric, Weird Woman?

megan-fox-star-wars

Megan Fox sat down to shoot the shit this week on Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody’s new online interview show “Red Band Trailer.” The 24-year-old starlet talks about the industry, her bitchy image, and working with those “socially awkward” Olsen Twins early in her career.

Take a look:

Fox and Cody worked together on last year’s criminally underrated frightener Jennifer’s Body. Fox’s  portrayal of the film’s man-eating babe Jennifer Check made Clatto’s list of The 11 Sexiest Maneater Babes in Horror & Sci-fi.

Bojana Novakovic’s Boobs Are Trapped in an Elevator w/ Beelzebub!

Devil-Bojana_Novakovic

A clip for Universal Pictures’ upcoming M. Night Shyamalan-produced supernatural thriller Devil has hit the net. Along with setting up the film’s people-trapped-in-an-elevator-with-Satan premise, the footage showcases the sweet hypnotic swing of sexy Serbian-born actress Bojana Novakovic’s supple breasts (pardon my vulgar display of alliteration).

Peep it, yo:

Novakovic’s creds include Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell and Martin Campbell’s revenge-thriller Edge of Darkness opposite blow-job enthusiast and Oscar-winner Mel Gibson.

Directed by Drew and John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine, The Poughkeepsie Tapes), Devil costars Bokeem Woodbine (Black Dynamite), Caroline Dhavernas (”Wonderfalls”), Chris Messina (Away We Go), and Geoffrey Arend (Bubble Boy).

‘Conan the Barbarian’ Gets His Drink On w/ Topless Tavern Wenches!

Conan_wenches

Images from director Marcus Nispel’s upcoming Conan the Barbarian remake have hit the web courtesy of human prop Katarzyna Wolejnio. The photos showcase actor Jason Momoa getting his swerve on with Wolejnio and a group of topless tavern wenches.

Wolejnio, who played a woman at a photo shop in fat Val Kilmer’s 2009 thriller Double Identity, can be seen in the shots draped over Momoa’s shoulder. The 37-year-old Polish starlet has been posting pics from the set for a bit now, but these are the first to show some boobage.

Conan the Barbarian stars Rachel NicholsStephen Lang, Ron Pearlman, Rose McGowan, Said Taghmaoui, Raw Leiba, and Momoa as Conan. The film wrapped back in June and is slated for release next year.

Big Foot Pervs on Hot Topless Chick in ‘Sasquatch Assault’

sasquatch

Internationally unknown director Colin Theys would have you believe that his film Sasquatch Assault is a fresh and ambitious take on Bigfoot lore, but the ridiculously low-budget project seems to really be another example of the lengths guys will go to just to see some live titties—and for that we applaud Mr. Theys.

The following clip finds Sasquatch sniffing panties and peeping in on an amply bosomed chick as she showers:

Admittingly, this scene is sheer genius. It’s just a shame the Sasquatch looks like a guy in a used Harry & the Hendersons costume. Also, why are fat guys in movies so hyper?

Sasquatch Assault stars Cristina Santiago, Andrea Saenz, Sarah Ahearn, Kevin Shea, Greg Nutcher, Jason Criscoulo, Alex Exum, and Cuyle Carvin.

The film is available now on VOD and arrives on DVD on Oct. 19.

‘Pretty Little Liar’ Lucy Hale Adds Stroke-Value to ‘Scream 4’

lucy_hale

“Pretty Little Liar” Lucy Hale is the latest addition to Wes Craven’s sexy Scream 4 cast that includes Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere ,”Mad Men’s” Alison Brie, Shenae Grimes, Marielle Jaffe, Grindhouse’s Marley Shelton, and cameos by Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell.

No word yet on Hale’s character, but my sharp movie savant senses tell me she’ll most likely play a cute schoolgirl, a role she’s perfected on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” and the CW’s “Privileged.” The 21-year-old stunner other creds include a NBC’s short-lived “Bionic Woman” reboot as Jaime Summer’s young sister, and had a part in the horror film Fear Island.

Written by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, Scream 4 is the start of a new trilogy that aims to frighten audiences while poking fun at modern day horror cliches. Old-schoolers Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Araquette return to the mix to reprise their respective roles as Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers-Riley, and Sheriff Dewey Riley.

Scream 4 is currently shooting in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The film is slated for release on April 15, 2011.

Vampire_Diaries_Poster2

If your tween daughters and gay sons have been holed up in their rooms lately, it could be that they’re busy diddling their young blossoming bodies to the new sexed-up “Vampire Diaries” promo posters released by the CW this week.

Oh sure, you’d like to think that your kids are just upstairs listening to Morrisey and cutting themselves like you did when you were their age, but the times—and TV—have changed. Don’t believe me? Take a look at what passes for vampire drama these days:

Not exactly “Dark Shadows” is it?

“The Vampire Diaries” is writer-producer Kevin Williamson’s (Scream, “Dawson’s Creek”) adaptation of L.J. Smith’s popular novel series of the same name for the CW television network. The show follows high-schooler Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) as she’s courted by two vampire brothers (Ian Somerhalder, some other guy).

The show won a People’s Choice award for Favorite New TV Drama in January and recently won big at the Teen Choice Awards.

“The Vampire Diaries” returns to the CW for its second season on Sept. 9.

Torture & Rape Get ‘A Serbian Film’ Pulled From U.K.’s Film4 Frightfest!

SF

Director Srdjan Spasojevic’s porn-snuff frightener A Serbian Film has been pulled from U.K.’s 11th annual Film4 Frightfest due to its graphic and disturbing scenes of torture and newborn baby rape.

The decision was made by the film festival’s co-director Ian Jones after the British Board of Film Classification ruled that 49 individual cuts—adding up to four minutes of screen time—be made to the film to keep it within BBFC guidelines.

Said the BBFC:

The film-makers have stated that A Serbian Film is intended as an allegory about Serbia itself. The board recognises that the images are intended to shock, but the sexual and sexualised violence goes beyond what is acceptable under current BBFC guidelines [for an 18-certificate].

A Serbian Film follows a downtrodden ex-porn star trying to make ends meet for his family by taking on a role in a privately funded fetish video that involves acts both immoral and illegal. The film’s most controversial scenes include machete sex, eye-socket rape, torture, and the aforementioned newborn rape.

Film4 Frightfest was set to screen the film, but opted not to after the BBFC decision.

Said Jones:

FrightFest has decided not to show A Serbian Film in a heavily cut version because, as a festival with a global integrity, we think a film of this nature should be shown in its entirety as per the director’s intention.

Neil Marshall Cooks Up Extreme Cuisine Horror in ‘Underground’

fem_cannibals

Director Neil Marshall is descending once again into the Underground. The man behind 2005’s girls-vs.-man-eating-cave-dwellers frightener The Descent is bringing to light the unfathomable horrors of … underground gourmet supper clubs.

Details are scarce, but producers say:

The protagonist is an ambitious young chef who ventures into the terrifying underbelly of extreme cuisine.

I smell cannibalism!

Underground is written by David Cohen and produced by Taka Ichise (The Grudge) and Erin Eggers (The Hoax).

Danny_Trejo_Bike

Twentieth Century Fox held the world premiere for director Robert Rodriguez’s revenge thriller Machete yesterday at the legendary Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Hundreds of vatos and ruccas gathered in the streets to watch as the film’s stars arrived in colorful, tricked-out Lowriders.

Unfortunately, I mistook a large gathering of Mexican day laborers at the Home Depot for the event and missed out on all the festivities. I did, however, make 20 bucks cash for helping a gringo move a fridge into his third-story apartment.

Machete headliner Danny Trejo led the caravan riding on an orange-flamed custom-built motorcycle. Joining the veteran action star at the event were director Rodriguez and costars Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, and Electra Avellan (in a very short pink number).

Also spotted: Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino, painfully overrated comedian Sarah Silverman, “True Blood” newbie Natasha Alam, busty entertainment reporter Lauren Sanchez, Dana Rosendorff, Clifton Collins Jr., and Jacob Vargas.

Machete stars Trejo as a double-crossed assassin out to kill the honkies that set him up and left him for dead. The film is based on the faux-trailer featured in the 2007 Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino collaboration Grindhouse.

The all-star cast also includes Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal, Rose McGowen, Jeff Fahey, Elise Avellan, and a reportedly topless Lindsay Lohan.

Machete swings into theaters on Sept. 3.
