Paramount continues to move forward on it’s quest to relaunch Frank Herbert’s beloved sci-fi novel Dune on the big screen. It’s been 25 years since director David Lynch raped Dune fan’s eyes with a dull, convoluted adaptation starring Sting in an electric blue diaper.
Paramount is currently shopping a 175 page script from writer Josh Zetumer to directors Neil Marshall (The Descent) and Neil Blompkamp (District 9). Twilight star Robert Pattinson was in talks with the studio back in May when director Peter Berg (Hancock) was attached to the project. Whether he’ll don Sting’s old electric blue diaper for the remake remains to be confirmed.
