Elodie Yung

G.I. Joe: Retaliation stunner Elodie Yung is set to star in season two of Marvel’s “Daredevil” original series for Netflix. The French stunner will play sexy assassin and Daredevil love interest Elektra Natchios. Shooting has already begun on the series which is slated to return in January 2016.

After a worldwide search,  we found in Elodie the perfect actress to embody both Elektra’s impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity.

Paired with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for.

“Daredevil” is also known for its stunning female cast that includes Deborah Ann Woll as Matt Murdock’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Karen Page and Rosario Dawson as night shift nurse and Daredevil ally Claire Temple. Yung clearly keeps that tradition alive.

star-wars-force-awakens

If you missed the Comic-Con panel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you should know that it was everything you hoped it would be and more. Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy presented an arsenal of geek goodness, including sneak peeks and cast appearances.

On hand were Resistance fighters John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Dark Siders Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), and Gwendonline Christie (Captain Phasma). Special guests included Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, both of whom you’d expect to show up.

The big surprise was Harrison Ford, who spoke eloquently and just plain fucking cool when asked about returning to the Star Wars Saga.

Ford said:

It should have felt ridiculous. It was 30 years ago, and I sort of grew up! Here I was doing something that I did so long ago. But I can tell you that it felt great.

I wasn’t so sure it would, but the company was the right company. The director was the right director, Larry, you wrote us a wonderful story, and I was proud and grateful to once again be involved.

The original Star Wars that I was a part of really was the beginning of my working life, and I was very, very grateful for the opportunity that I had in that film, and for the success of that film. So it’s great to be back.

The gang also brought with them a behind-the-scenes reel showcasing the film’s practical effects and mind-blowing sets. The clip also provides some amazing scene and character footage (flame-throwing stormtrooper anyone?) that will leave you grinning like the kid you still are!
