Noomi Rapace Has Itsy Bitsy Problem in ‘Rupture’

Noomi-Rapace-Rupture

Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) is bugging out in the upcoming body-horror tale from director Steven Shainberg (Secretary) and screenwriter Brian Nelson (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night). The Swedish stunner plays an abducted MILF with a crippling fear of spiders, who believes she’s undergoing a horrifying change.

The story follows Renee Morgan (Rapace), a single-mom and arachnophobe living with her 12-year-old son in a suburban residence under surveillance by her would-be captors. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has set a Nov. 22 release date for The Vestron Video Collector’s Series’ Blu-ray debut of the 1992 zombie classic Return of the Living Dead 3. The limited-edition Blu-ray is chockful of features, including audio commentary and interviews with director Brian Yuzna and its gorgeous star Melinda Clarke.

Clarke, who most recently has starred in Fox’s “Gotham” and The CW’s “Nikita,” played Julie Walker in Retrun of the Living Dead 3, a sweet, slightly kinky redhead who dies tragically in a motorcycle accident when she attempts to give her boyfriend a reach-around while barreling  down a dangerous highway.

Desperate and heartbroken, her boyfriend revives Julie with the same Trioxin gas used by his father to reanimate corpses in top-secret military experiments. He’s successful, but soon discovers that Julie is no longer as interested in giving head as she is in eating brains, a condition that causes her great grief.

Julie, however, soon learns that she can fight off her hunger pangs with physical pain, a fortuitous little trick that allows her to not eat her boyfriend. Unfortunately, the couple doesn’t get much time to rekindle their love affair as they are being chased by military officials and the homies of a hispanic gangbanger whose head Julie ate out like a taco salad.

Yes, this movie is fucking awesome (see where Melinda Clarke/Julie Walker ranks in Clatto’s list of The 11 Sexiest Maneating Babes).

Jennifer Lawrence Looks Like Scarlett Johansson in ‘Passengers’

jennifer-lawrence-passengers

Sony Pictures has released a trailer for its ridiculous romantic fantasy Passengers. Set on a luxury spacecraft, two beautiful people wake up 90-years into a 120-year journey to a new colony. They fall in love and rescue the 5000 passengers on board  from a dangerous ship malfunction.

Morten Tyldum (Imitation Game) directs from a script by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus), starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt as romantic leads Aurora and Jim. While we didn’t expect Pandorum-like creatures, Passengers misses an opportunity by not casting one of its leads as fat and ugly.

Seriously, why isn’t Kevin James starring in this as Lawrence’s leading man? That would bring a whole new dynamic to the film. Two pretty people falling for each other as they save lives is too easy. Passengers is so far up beauty’s ass it even made Lawrence look like Scarlett Johansson.

‘Annabelle 2’ Ruins Tea Time!

Annabelle

New Line Cinema has released a first trailer for Annabelle 2, a James Wan produced sequel to the original Conjuring spinoff that saw the demonically possessed doll wreck havoc on a young family in 1969 Los Angeles. Set for release May 19, 2017, the film is directed by Lights Out maestro David F. Sandberg.

Annabelle 2 follows an orphanage nun who takes refuge with her girls at a doll maker’s home when her facility is shut down. Things go from bad to worse when she and the orphans catch Annabelle’s attention.

Bond girl and “Narcos” actress Stephanie Sigman plays the nun and Lights Out’s horrifying she-demon Alicia Vela-Bailey is also along for the ride as a character called Evil Mrs. Mullins. We don’t see either in the trailer yet, but what’s on display already looks far more disturbing than anything in the original movie.
