Twentieth Century Fox will release on Sept. 14 The Predator, a reboot of the popular franchise first introduced in 1987 as an Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi actioner. Shane Black (Iron Man 3) directs from a script he co-wrote with Monster Squad writer/director Fred Dekker.
This time out, the Predators are inadvertently brought to earth by an autistic kid’s goof and must be stopped by a group of ex-military soldiers and a hot science teacher, played by Olivia Munn. Friendly Predators help too — one even Rain Mans it with the autistic trouble-making brat.
Fortunately, test audiences recognized the film as ridiculous and gave it thumbs down. According to AVP Galaxy, reshoots have now eliminated the friendly Predators and most of the film’s third act, while adding stuff that connects it to previous Predator films. Sadly, no word on the addition of a Munn full-frontal shower scene 🙁
Keri Russell (“The Americans”) is set to join the cast of Star Wars: Episode IX. No details on how her role fits into the Star Wars mythology, but it does reunite Russell with her “Felicity” and Mission Impossible 3 director J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) — back to helm the final entry in the new trilogy.
Russell joins returning players Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren). In addition to directing, Abrams pens the script with Chris Terrio (Argo). Star Wars: Episode IX is slated for release Dec. 20, 2019.

Gillian Anderson is back hunting little green men in Sony Pictures’ upcoming alien thriller UFO. The beloved “X-Files” and “Hannibal” stunner plays an advanced mathematics professor with bad hair aiding a nerdy college student on his quest to prove aliens are scoping out airports across the United States.
With the exception of Anderson’s hairdo, there’s not much that’s frightening in the film’s trailer. But, regardless, how do you not watch a UFO movie co-starring Dana Scully? Do so on DVD and VOD Sept. 4.

USA has released a trailer for season two of it’s surprise hit anthology series “The Sinner.” This time out, the show stars Bill Pullman as a New York homicide detective investigating an 11-year-old brat suspected in the murder of his parents.
Carrie Coon, of the criminally underrated HBO series “The Leftovers,” plays a mysterious obstacle in the detective’s case and is the reason we’ll be watching. While not traditionally stunning as season one star Jessica Biel, Coon appeals to us for her sexy everyday MILF look — and we’ve seen her naked!
