“LOST” star Matthew Fox is looking to enlist opposite Brad Pitt in Paramount Pictures’ big screen adaptation of author Max Brooks novel “World War Z.” Fox joins a cast that includes Mirielle Enos (“The Killing”), Julia Levy-Boeken (Road Trip: Beer Pong), and James Badge Dale (The Grey).
World War Z is set ten years after a zombie apocalypse and follows a UN researcher (Pitt) as he collects testimonials from survivors around the world. Fox is rumored to be playing a parachute trooper. The film is directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace) and goes into production this month.
Fox, best known for playing Jack Shepard on ABC’s greatest show ever “LOST,” will also be seen in director Rob Cohen’s (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) adaptation of the James Patterson novel I, Alex Cross. He plays serial killer Michael “The Butcher of Sligo” Sullivan.
A trailer for the Dennis Quaid headlined serial killer thriller Beneath the Darkness has hit the web. Directed by the guy who shot National Lampoon’s Cattle Call, the film stars Quaid as a homicidal maniac out to finish off a group of kids trying to expose him.
Peep it:
The synopsis reads:
After watching their best friend get murdered, a group of teens struggle to expose a local hero as the psychopathic killer and keep from becoming his next victims.
Beneath the Darkness was filmed in Smithville, Texas and costars Aimee Teegarden, best known for playing Julie Taylor on “Friday Night Lights.” On the big screen, the 21-year-old starlet was last seen in Wes Craven’s Scream 4.
“Fringe” recurring Ari Graynor stars opposite Colin Hanks (“Dexter”) in Phase 4 Film’s upcoming serial killer comedy Lucky. The story revolves around a killer (Hanks) who wins the lottery and marries a cute girl after his money (Graynor).
Lucky costars hottie Heather Marie Marsden (Terror Trap), Jeffrey Tambor (“Arrested Development”), the late Ann-Margret (ask your mom), Adam Harrington (“Secret Circle”), Mimi Rogers and her enormous 55-year-old breasts (Full Body Massage).
Graynor plays Rachel Dunham, sister to FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), on the J.J. Abrams-produced Fox sci-fi series “Fringe.” She also starred as an adorable drunk chick in the 2008 rom-com Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
Last August, Mrs. Muertos and I headed down to the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, CA to attend “LOST: The Official Show Auction and Exhibit.” It was a two-day bittersweet event that allowed fans of the show to bid on all sorts of props and set pieces from the Emmy-winning show.
When all was over and done, the auction had raised over $1.8 million and the lil lady and I were out about $25 (spent on one Dharma water, one Oceanic Airlines water, and a couple of Sawyer sundae specials purchased from one of them fancy gourmet trucks).
Someone who apparently fared better than us was Verbal Ink CEO JR Wurster. The rich bastard took home many “LOST” items including the “Cave Ceiling with Candidate’s Names and Numbers” first seen inside the island’s Cliffside Cave during the episode “The Substitute.” The piece, purchased for $650, now sits in the Verbal Ink office.
Paramount Pictures held the premiere for director/producer J.J. Abrams’ fam-friendly sci-fi thriller Super 8 last night at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, CA. Attending the event were Abrams, producing partner Steven Spielberg, and the film’s cast including Elle Fanning, Amanda Michalka, and Kyle Chandler.
Also seen at the shindig were hotties Aly Michalka, Paz Vega, and Jaime King, some guy named Tom Cruise, director Michael Bay, Conan O’Brien, Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz, once-upon-a-time TV star Jenna Elfman and James “Jesus” Caviezel.
Every male on the dating circuit knows it takes a lot of money and effort to get a woman naked. After all, ruffies and charm don’t grow on trees. For those who lack game, cash, and a good drug dealer, the night usually ends with uncontrolled sobbing and a Riley Steele Fleshlight (not you though. you guys are suave!).
Imagine how great it would be to enjoy a woman’s company without wondering what she looks like beneath her clothes. One could engage her in conversations about art and cinema, argue politics and philosophy, and discuss dreams and disappointments.

Posted above is the first photo released from AMC to promote the still-awhile-away second season of Frank Darabont’s hit zombie series “The Walking Dead.” Production on the series is already underway in Atlanta, Georgia.
Says Darabont:
At this moment, I’m standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It’s great to be shooting again. I think we’ve embarked on a great season.
“The Walking Dead” debuted last year to ratings success and critical acclaim, earning a Best New Series nomination at the 2011 Writers Guild of America Awards and a Best Drama Series nom at the 68th Golden Globes Awards.
Season two of “The Walking Dead” is set to premiere in October and, unlike the first, will have a 13-episode arch.
Mexican soap star Gaby Ramirez steps into Wonder Woman’s red boots—and very little else—in the June issue of Playboy Mexico. The 32-year-old star of “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” is showcased in a steamy spread that finds her posing as both Wonder Woman and altar-ego Diana Prince.
She tells Playboy Mexico:
Ella es una mujer luchadora con mucha belleza y espiritual que busca mejoras para su pais con sus acciones … asi soy yo. Ella es como las mujeres Mexicanas luchonas que busca que llevar de comer a la casa.
(Gringo Translation: Sheis a fighterwithgreatphysical and spiritual beauty who looksfor what’s best for her country…that’s me.She’slikethe ass-kicking Mexican womenseekingto providefood fortheir home).
No offense to Adrianne Palicki, but Gaby Ramirez is Wonder Woman. Now, let’s just keep our fingers crossed that there’s a Mexican David E. Kelly around to bring “La Mujer Maravilla” to the small screen.
Pretty up-and-comer Ashlynn Yennie is reprising her role as ill-fated American tourist Jenny in the outrageous sequel to director Tom Six’s controversial mad-doc frightener The Human Centipede (First Sequence). The new film, entitled The Human Centipede (Full Sequence), features a 12-person ass-to-mouth daisy chain, barbed wire rape, and oodles of torture.
The British Board of Film Classification has already banned the film in the U.K., noting mood, intention, and specific scenes of torture and rape as reasons for its ruling. U.K. entertainment site Empire. scored a response from Six to the brouhaha.
He says:
Thank you BBFC for putting spoilers of my movie on your website and thank you for banning my film in this exceptional way. Apparently I made an horrific horror-film, but shouldn’t a good horror film be horrific? My dear people it is a f****cking MOVIE.
It is all fictional. Not real. It is all make-belief. It is art. Give people their own choice to watch it or not. If people can’t handle or like my movies they just don’t watch them. If people like my movies they have to be able to see it any time, anywhere also in the UK.
Joining Yennie in the batshit crazy sequel are actors Georgina Goodrick, Kandace Caine, Vivien Bridson, Emma Lock, Maddi Black, Dominic Borelli, Lee Harris, Peter Charlton, Bill Hutchens, Dan Burman, Daniel Jude Gennis, and Lucas Hansen.
Yenni has not been seen on the big screen since the first Human Centipede, but does have the fucked-up indie frightener Fetch in the can. The 26-year-old Wyoming-born starlet plays a junkie stripper tormented by an abusive ex and his deadly German Shepherds.
Yenni talks about the first Human Centipede and Fetch in a 2010 interview with RockinBones.net. It’s not new, but she’s cute and interesting.
Deliverance meets “Three’s Company” in director Eli Craig’s hilarious hillbilly-horror-comedy Tucker and Dale VS. Evil. The flick made its debut at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, but failed to lock down U.S. distribution. Now, Magnolia Pictures is coming to the rescue.
Magnolia has acquired the North American rights for the T&D and will release it on Ultra VOD on Aug. 26 and in theaters on Sept. 30. Headlining the cast are Alan Tudyk (“Firefly”) and Tyler Labine (“Reapers”) as Tucker and Dale, respectively, and the very hot Katrina Bowden (“30 Rock”).
Flipping the script on the backwoods-hillbilly genre, T&D follows two well-intentioned country bumpkins trying to survive a weekend of horrors at the hands of vacationing college kids who have mistaken them for killers.
