Image Entertainment has released the trailer for Evidence, a found-footage frightener starring Radha Mitchell and Stephen Moyer as police detectives attempting to put together a portrait of a mass murderer by utilizing his victims’ camcorders, flip cams, and smart-phones.

Set in desert outside of Los Angeles, Evidence is directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi’s (The 4th Kind) and written by newcomer John Swetnam. Co-stars include Torrey Devitto (”Pretty Little Liars”), Harry Lennix (“Dollhouse”), Caitlin Stasey (Tomorrow, When the War Began) and Nolan Gerard Funk (Deadgirl).

“Spartacus: Blood and Sand” star Erin Cummings has joined Dark Sky Films and Glass Eye Pix’s upcoming werewolf thriller Late Phases. The film marks the English-language debut of Spanish filmmaker Adrián García Bogliano (Penumbra, Cold Sweat).

Cummings tweeted last week:

Day 1 of “Late Phases,” playing wifey to Ethan Embry. Shooting in a model home and feeling like a member of the Bluth Family.

Late Phases stars Nick Damici (We Are What We Are) as a man who moves into a neighborhood under attack by werewolves. Cummings and “Once Upon a Time” actor Ethan Embry co-star as a married couple living in the community. The film is now shooting in New York.

Cummings is best known for playing Sura, Spartacus’ doomed wife, on season one of the Starz original series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” and for her role as secret agent Hel (pictured) in Rick Jacobson’s Bitch Slap. She can currently be seen in the Michael Shannon crime thriller The Iceman.

Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”) stars in Vin Diesel’s upcoming sci-fi actioner Riddick, the third entry in the David Twohy directed sci-fi franchise that includes 2000’s Pitch Black and 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick.

Sackhoff plays Dahl, a Nordic mercenary out to cash in on Riddick’s hide… a topless Nordic mercenary. The role will mark Sackhoff’s nude movie debut. In an interview with 411, she said that the timing felt right, but that she could not have bared her breasts without her father’s approval.

Sackhoff said:

I called my Dad and told him and he said, “how much?” I said, “3-5 seconds of side boob.” He said, “it’s not something I ever wanted to see my daughter do but at the same time, Katee, you’ve held out for so long.”

My Dad said, “go for it”, my brother said, “how dare you ruin the movie for me!” and my fiancé sent me flowers that said, “you’ve waited long enough, I’m proud of you.” I feel like I had waited long enough.

Clatto is also proud of Sackhoff. Unlike most actresses who hold out on showing the goods, she has chosen to drop her top for Diesel’s Riddick-ulous sequel and spared us the chore of sitting through some pretentious art-house flick, period piece or male stripper drama (not forgiven, Olivia Munn).

And, kudos to Sackhoff’s dad for doing the right thing. This Father’s Day, let’s all keep him in our thoughts.

“Dr. Who” Starlet Karen Gillan is set to join Michael Rooker (“The Walking Dead”) and Lee Pace (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) as villains in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy, an adaptation of its comic book series about interstellar superheroes.

Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn (Slither) and stars Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness), Chris Pratt (“Parks and Recreation”) and WWF star Dave Bautista as the Guardians. The film, which also co-stars old-people actress Glenn Close, is set to shoot in June in the U.K.

Gillan is best known for her role as Amy Pond on Britain’s long-running sci-fi series “Dr. Who.” The Scottish actress and former model will next be seen in Film District’s new supernatural thriller Oculus with “Battlestar Galactica” star Katee Sackhoff.

Charlie Sheen goddess Bree Olson may have quit porn , but she’s once again set to do ass-to-mouth in writer/director Tom Six’s The Human Centipede 3: Final Sequence. Unfortunately for us, she won’t be tasting her own tush, but most likely the hairy a-hole of co-star Eric Roberts, Tiny Lister or Robert LaSardo.

Currently shooting in California, The Human Centipede 3: Final Sequence is set in a prison and will feature a 500-person centipede. The sequel joins franchise villains Dieter Laser (Dr. Heiter of Human Centipede: First Sequence) and Laurence R. Harvey (copycat killer Martin of Human Centipede: Full Sequence).

The film marks Olson’s mainstream movie debut. Prior to quitting porn in 2011, she was best known for her work in Spunkmouth 4, Grand Theft Anal 10, Destination Tonsils and the Charlie Sheen inspired parodies Charlie’s Devils, Charlie’s Hookers, Charlie’s Party Girls and Charlie’s Porn Family.

Absence tells the story of an expectant young mother whose baby disappears from her womb just as her pregnancy is set to come to term. While this premise would strike most men as a feel good story about dodging a bullet, director and co-writer Jimmy Loweree presents it as a tale of horror.

Erin Way (“Alphas”) toplines the film as mom-to-be Liz. Eric Matheny (J. Edgar) and Ryan Smale (Damage) play Liz’s husband and brother, respectively. Shot as found-footage, the film follows the trio as they venture off to the mountains to escape the ongoing scrutiny from police and neighbors. And, then… things get ugly.

Open Road has released the first official trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s star-studded sequel Machete Kills. The clip provides a glimpse at the cast, including one Carlos Estevez as the U.S. president and Sofia Vergara as Madam Desdemona, a leather-clad femme fatale with a deadly bullet bra.

Machete Kills finds ex-federale Machete (Danny Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to take down Mexico’s biggest drug cartel leader (Demián Bichir).

Co-stars include Zoe Saldana, Amber Heard, Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Mel Gibson as an eccentric billionaire Voz, Michelle Rodriguez as rebel leader Shé, Jessica Alba as ICE agent Sartana Rivera and Alexa Vega as hit-woman KillJoy.

Former “American Idol” contestant and Shark Night star Katharine McPhee is set to star in screenwriter Paul Tamasy’s (The Fighter) directorial debut Depravity, a psychological thriller written by crime novelist Dennis Lehane (Shutter Island, Mystic River).

Depravity follows a group of roommates who kill a man they mistakenly take to be a killer, causing them to face a true terror and their own… wait for it… depravity. Deadline reports that McPhee will play a twentysomething the roommates try to use as a scapegoat.

McPhee is best known for placing second on Fox TV’s “American Idol” competition and for starring on NBC’s recently cancelled musical drama “Smash.”

Lucy Lawless announced last week on her Twitter feed that a “Xena: Warrior Princess” reboot may be underway. Lawless, who played the titular heroine during the show’s six season run, was cautious in getting fans’ hopes up, but seemed confident that the franchise could be revitalized.

Lawless tweeted:

Had an interesting call from a chap who wants to re-invigorate the Xena brand. You guys may have started something. But there’s a lot of red tape around XWP so don’t get your knickers in a twist. It may come back in a different form.

Lawless, who most recently starred as the ill-fated Lucretia on the Starz original series “Spartacus,” said she believes that a new actress will step into Xena’s boots. While I have no idea who could take on the role of warrior princess, I can’t help but think how perfect “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” co-star Laura Surrich would be as sexy sidekick Gabrielle.

Set in London on New Year’s Eve, Liars All centers on a game of truth-or-dare that spins out of control for a group of friends. The film is directed by newcomer Brian Brightly and stars knockouts Tiffany Mulheron (”Hollyoaks”), Sara Paxton (Shark Night 3-D), Gillian Zinser (Manson Girls), and Alice Evans (“LOST”).

Phase 4 Films has released the first official trailer for the erotic thriller, which premieres on VOD and in selected theaters on June 21.
