Open Road has released a new trailer for director Erik Van Looy’s sexually charged who-dun-it The Loft, a remake of his own 2008 Belgian thriller of the same name. The film tells the story of five married men who together rent an apartment where they can each take their mistresses to bone.

One day, a sexy blonde conquest wakes up dead and handcuffed to the bed. The men suspect each other and each others wives… fearing what’s to come next.

Hubbies are played by Karl Urban (Dredd), James Marsden (Straw Dogs), Eric Stonestreet (”Modern Family”), Wentworth Miller (“Prison Break”) and Matthias Schoenaerts (Rust and Bone). Rhona Mitra (Doomsday), Rachael Taylor (See No Evil), Valerie Cruz (”True Blood”) and Isabel Lucas (Red Dawn) play the skirts.

The Loft opens Jan. 23, 2015.

‘I Spit On Your Grave’ Documentary Teases Camille Keaton, Meir Zarchi Interviews!

Camille-Keaton-Spit-Grave

A trailer has gone online for Growing Up with I Spit On Your Grave, a new documentary on Meir Zarchi’s controversial 1978 revenge-thriller Day of the Woman, re-released as I Spit On Your Grave in 1980. The film is directed by Meir Zarchi’s son Terry Zarchi and includes interviews with Meir and Camille Keaton.

I Spit On Your Grave starred Keaton as Jill, a young novelist out to maim and murder the men who gang-raped her repeatedly while she vacationed alone in the woods for inspiration. The film was pulled from theaters upon its release and now rotting critic Roger Ebert dismissed it as a “vile bag of garbage.”

Despite all the hate, the gory flick remains a cult favorite among aficionados of non-consensual sodomy and group sex. It was successfully remade in 2010 by Steven R. Monroe with Sarah Butler in the role of Jill and Meir Zarchi producing. There is also talk of a new sequel from Meir, picking up decades after the original.

This horrifying phenomenon is the subject of Rodney Ascher’s The Nightmare, a documentary-horror film following eight people’s experiences with sleep paralysis.

Is Kate Hudson an ‘Unforgettable’ Psycho?

kate-hudson-sexy

After mailing it in for years in countless romantic comedies, Kate Hudson is taking a turn at the thriller genre with Unforgettable, a psycho-bitch drama about a newly wed couple tormented by the husband’s troubled and enraged ex-wife.

Unforgettable is directed by Amma Asante, whose critical acclaim for the period piece Belle may have lured Hudson—and co-star Kerry Washington—to the strained jealous ex thriller that has given us an Obsessed and The Roommate for every Fatal Attraction and Single White Female.

There is no word on whether Hudson will play the wife or the psycho, but here’s hoping she’ll be cast against type. Despite being known for rom-coms such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Fool’s Gold, Hudson did shine in Michael Winterbottom’s brutally violent and controversial film adaptation of the Jim Thompson’s 1952 novel The Killer Inside Me.
