Like the machines she fought on the canceled-much-to-soon Fox series “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” Summer Glau won’t be kept down. The 28-year-old actress has signed on to star in director Joe Lynch’s horror-comedy Knights of Badassdom.

Glau will play a member of a live action role-playing group who accidentally unleash a powerful demon from the depths of hell. “True Blood’s” Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn (Perfect Getaway), Danny Pudi (“Community”), and Peter Dinklage (Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) costar.

The film goes into production next month in Spokane, Washington. Spectral Motion (Hellboy, X-Men) will handle creature F/X.

Glau can also been seen as a crime-fighting blogger on NBC’s upcoming superhero series “The Cape.”
