Summit Entertainment has set a May 31 release date for the home editions of Gods of Egypt, a sword-and-sandal epic from visionary director Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow). The film follows the god Horus and his mortal ally as they journey across Egypt and supernatural realms to defeat mad deity Set.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones”) stars as Horus, Gerard Butler (300) plays Set, and Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent) is brave mortal Bek. Co-stars include Geoffrey Rush (Pirates of the Caribbean) as Set’s father Ra, Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Horus’ lover Hathor, and Courtney Eaton as Bek’s girl Zaya.
