Amber Heard is set to star in Robert Rodriguez’ Machete Kills, the eagerly anticipated sequel to his 2010 grindhouse-actioner Machete. The 26-year-old stunner joins an all-star cast that includes Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Demian Bichir and Mel Gibson.

Machete Kills finds Machete recruited by the U.S. government to bring down a billionaire arms dealer (Gibson) plotting to create global warfare by creating and utilizing a high-tech space weapon. Heard will play assassin Miss San Antonio.

Heard is the very alluring star of genre flicks Drive Angry, Zombieland, The Ward, The Stepfather, And Soon the Darkness and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.  She is also a self professed lesbian and made Clatto’s list of The Hottest Women Working in Horror Today.

Machete Kills begins production this month in Austin, Texas.
