Dimension Films has announced that Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson will reprise their roles as golden-hearted goon Marv and prostitute/dominatrix Gail in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s recently greenlit Sin City sequel A Dame to Kill For.

Rodriguez tells MTV:

[Rourke is] all excited to come back, but he’s probably the first one. I saw Rosario [Dawson] too. I ran into her for something else, and she’s pumped. They’ve always been excited about doing another one, so that will be fun.

Cameras will roll on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For this summer in Austin, Texas. Miller is promising “a ferocious film experience that is going to go even further than the first.”

The sequel is an adaptation of Miller’s “A Dame to Kill For” with the script co-written by Miller and Academy Award winner William Monahan (The Departed). AR Films and Quick Draw Productions are producing. Harvey and Bob Weinstein serve as executive producers.
