Charlotte Vega is set to star in Constantin Film’s upcoming reboot of its 2003 backwoods horror gem Wrong Turn.Who is Vega? Horror fans may have caught a glimpse of the Spanish stunner in her 2012 film debut REC: Genesis and 2017’s highly underrated goth thriller The Lodgers.

Helmed by Mike P. Nelson (The Domestics) from a script by original Wrong Turn scribe Alan B. McElroy, the new film pits six New Yorkers against a mysterious and dangerous community living in the West Virginia mountains.

The original Wrong Turn starred Eliza Dushku (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) as a final girl hunted by inbred cannibals in the West Virginia mountains. The film took more than $28 million and spawned five gory and highly entertaining sequels.
