New ‘Jurassic World’ Trailer Has Teeth… Lots of Teeth!

Universal released this week a new trailer for Jurassic World, the eagerly anticipated third sequel in producer Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park franchise. Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, the Jurassic World amusement park is fully functional and open to the public on Isla Nublar.

The new trailer goes for broke, providing more plot details and a whole lotta dinosaur action, including full-on looks at the genetically engineered Indominus Rex. Some of the sequences appear to be pretty frightening and awesome, but having the once terrifying raptors be Chris Pratt’s pets is lame.

Jurassic World is directed and co-written by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) and stars Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3), Jake Johnson (”New Girl”), Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket), Judy Greer (Carrie), and Katie McGrath (”Dracula”). It opens June 12.
