Krysten Ritter is set to topline “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones,” the studio’s new superhero series for Netflix. Ritter plays Jones, a costumed heroine suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, running a detective agency to aid other superheroes.
“Jessica Jones” is one of four new superhero shows Marvel is producing for Netflix, which include “Daredevil,” “Ironfist,” and “Luke Cage,” leading to a “Defenders” miniseries. Actor Mike Colter will be introduced as Cage midway through the series. Twilight scribe Melissa Rosenberg serves as showrunner.
Ritter is a former model turned actress best known for the rightfully cancelled ABC series “Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23” and more awesomely as Jesse Pinkman’s doomed druggie girlfriend Jane Margolis on AMC’s much missed Emmy winner “Breaking Bad.”
