French actress Nora Arnezeder is set to star in the new CBS series “Zoo,” an adaptation of the bestselling 2012 James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge novel about animals gone wild. Arnezeder joins James Wolk (“Mad Men”) in the 13-episode series, slated to premiere in summer 2015.
“Zoo” follows an American zoologist (Wolk) who believes animals are plotting to take back dominion over the world, one kill at a time. He saves the life of a beautiful French ecologist (Arnezeder) on safari, and together they set out to prove that animals hate us.
Horror fans will recognize Arnezeder as the female lead in producer Alexandre Aja (Piranha 3-D) and director Franck Khalfoun’s (P2) POV remake of William Lustig’s controversial 1980 slasher Maniac. She also co-starred in the Denzel Washington thriller Safe House.
