Planet Terror stunner Marley Shelton stars in Lifetime’s new sci-fi series “The Lottery.” Written by Timothy J. Sexton (Children of Men), the show is set in the year 2025 when women are no longer capable of giving birth, putting the human race in danger of extinction.
Okay, the whole extinction thing is a bummer, but the unbridled joy of releasing freely during sex without the fear of catching a disease you have to feed, shelter, and raise for 18 years kinda makes it worth it, no?

The synopsis reads:
Set within a dystopian future driven by a global fertility crisis, “The Lottery” reveals a world staring down the barrel of impending extinction as women have mysteriously stopped bearing children.
After years of research, Dr. Alison Lennon (Shelton) and her team remarkably create 100 viable embryos. To determine which women will carry the prized embryos to term, a national lottery is held, and a battle over the control of the 100 embryos begins.
Co-starring alongside Shelton are Michael Graziadei (“American Horror Story”), David Alpay (“The Vampire Diaries”), Athena Karkanis (SAW IV), Yul Vazquez (“Magic City”), Shelley Conn (“Terra Nova”), and Martin Donovan (The Haunting in Connecticut). “Lottery” premieres July 20.
