eOne Entertainment has set an Oct. 15 DVD release date for Abducted, an abduction frightener from writing/directing duo Glen Scantlebury and Lucy Phillips. Producers describe the film as a cross between Dark Skies and The Blair Witch Project, but they ain’t gotta lie to kick it; they got Jelly Howie (pictured).
The synopsis reads:
Three couples are kidnapped by masked abductors in Griffith Park. Locked in a dark cell and sedated by gas, they are subjected to bizarre medical experiments and horrific physiological torture.
After weeks of captivity, they make one final attempt to break free… only to discover the world they know will never be the same.
I’m guessing the anal probing plays a role in never being the same. Abduction also stars Tessa Ferrer (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Trevor Morgan (Mean Creek), Ross Thomas (Soul Surfer), and TV actresses Vivan Dugré (“CSI: Miami”) and Emily Graham-Handley (“90210”).
“Pretty Little Liars” and “All My Children” star Natalie Hall goes nude in Plus One, a sci-fi thriller from Last House On the Left director Dennis Iliadis and screenwriter Bill Gullo. Hall plays Melanie, a naked party girl who meets her naked party girl clone while getting ready to bang some dude.
Plus One is set at the biggest party of the year and finds three college friends struggling to save their relationships and lives after a meteorite crashes nearby, screwing up the space-time continuum. Co-stars include Ashley Hinshaw (Chronicle), Rhys Wakefield (The Purge) and Logan Miller (Would You Rather).
Plus One marks Hall’s horror/sci-fi and nude debut. The Canadian stunner is best known for her role as heiress Colby Chandler on the ABC soap “All My Children” and as mean stepsister Kate Randall on the ABC Family hit series “Pretty Little Liars.”
Plus One arrives in selected theaters and VOD on Sept. 20.
Naomi Watts will star in Holland, Michigan, a serial killer drama marking the narrative debut of documentary filmmaker Errol Morris (The Unknown Know). Set to shoot in April, the film is described to be in the vein of the Coen Brother’s quirk y1996 hit Fargo.
Holland, Michigan finds Watts playing a married woman who starts an affair with another man after suspecting that her husband is cheating on her. But, as it turns out, her hubby is not sleeping around with other women… he’s too busy killing them!
Watts is coming off an Academy Award nominated performance in Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona’s disaster drama The Impossible. She’s starred in the acclaimed frighteners The Ring, Funny Games and King Kong, and paid her genre dues in the ’90s with Children of the Corn: The Gathering and Tank Girl.
Wild Bunch has released a trailer for Timecrimes director Nacho Vigalondo’sOpen Windows, a “high-tech” abduction thriller made to appear as if viewed on a laptop screen. The movie marks the Spanish filmmaker’s English language debut.
Open Windows stars Elijah Wood (Maniac) as an obsessed fan-boy drawn into an abduction scheme by a psycho stalking his favorite actress, played by ex-porn star Sasha Grey (Cum Fart Cocktails 5).The film is presented in real time and will utilize webcams, tablets, mobile phones and satellite and security cams.
For a Sasha Grey film, there’s very little anal sex, but it does look pretty interesting.
Paramount Home Media has released a trailer for Ghost Team One, a horror-comedy from dudes named Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford. Set to hit VOD on Oct. 11, the film finds two male roommates ghost hunting in their home to indulge a busty hot chick they want to bang.
Ghost Team One stars Mexican babe Fernanda Romero(The Eye) as the hot chick and Carlos Santos and J.R. Villareal as the roommates. The film also co-stars Meghan Falcone (pictured), the naturally talented actress who toplessly played groupie Shari on Showtime’s “Californication.”
“Sopranos” and “Sons of Anarchy” star Drea De Matteo is set to co-star in French director Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s English-language debut Dark Places, an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s 2009 bestseller. Matteois will play downtrodden stripper Krissi Cates.
Dark Places stars Charlize Theron as Libby Day, a girl who at the age of seven testified against her brother in the brutal massacre of her family. Twenty-five years later, Libby is a hot mess. Looking to turn a profit from her tragedy, she agrees to help a group called The Kill Club to re-investigate the case.
Matteo’s character is a lapdancer who knows some secrets about what really went down with Libby’s family. Matteo inherits the role from Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”), who is now playing the less stripperish part of Libby’s mother.

A new trailer has been released to promote the DVD, but posted below is the flick’s red-band trailer, which provides a glimpse at Warren and Butler going nude.
