Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”) has joined the cast of French director Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s English-language debut Dark Places, an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best selling 2009 novel. Co-stars include Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, Andrea Roth and Charlize Theron, who also produces.

Dark Places tells the story of Libby Day, who at the age of seven testified against her brother in the brutal massacre of her family. Fast forward 25-years and Libby has grown up to become a mess. Looking to turn a profit from her tragedy, she agrees to help a group called The Kill Club re-investigate the case.

Empire reports that Hendricks will play Krissi Cates, a sloppy, downtrodden stripper with enormous creamy white breasts who knows a thing or two about the Day murders. The film is slated for release in September 2014.
