Blackberry and Robert Rodriguez are calling on movie fans to put the finishing touches on Two Scoops, a campy short film starring sexy twins Electraand Elise Avellan (Planet Terror, Machete) as ice cream shop clerks turned monster slayers.
The movie marks the debut of Project Green Screen, an interactive venture giving fans the opportunity to participate in the movie making process, from acting to creating props for the sisters to use and a giant monster for them to fight.
Rodriguez explains:
I didn’t hear anything about green screening yourself into an Avellan Twin threesome, but this still sounds pretty cool.
The Avellan sisters broke into Hollywood as the “Crazy Twin Babysitters” in the 2007 Rodriguez/ Quentin Tarantino collaboration Grindhouse. They have since starred together in Parallel Media’s The Black Waters of Echo’s Pond and Rodriguez’s Machete and its upcoming sequel Machete Kills.
It’s the end of the road for Dexter Morgan’s Dark Passenger and Showtime is looking in its rear-view to remind fans of the lives that have been lost throughout the series’ seven-year journey. With season eight said to be its last (Showtime has yet to officially confirm), the show’s new teaser promises that Dexter is still far from done.
Season eight of “Dexter” premieres on Showtime on June 30.

Probably not, but he seems to enjoy it anyway in his new feature film American Ecstasy, starring 2012 Playboy Playmate (pictured). Imperial Pictures has released a red-band trailer for the flick and it looks like the websites you visit when your sweetheart is asleep.
American Ecstasy follows one man’s dream to asphyxiate, torture and gun-rape young women who have left home in search of fame and fortune. According to its synopsis, The film is a metaphor to show that “the most monstrous of highway predators is America itself.”

Alice Eve was the first new face to be cast in J.J. Abrams‘Star TrekInto Darkness, the sequel to his blockbuster 2009 reboot The British stunner reportedly beat out Teresa Palmer (I Am Number 4) and Hayley Atwell (Captain America) for the part, which is not based on an existing Star Trek character.

Image Entertainment has set a May 21 DVD release date for director Kevin Barker’s Last Kind Words, a Kentucky backwoods frightener starring Jack Reacher stunner Alexia Fast, Spencer Daniels and Brad Dourif as fat Axl Rose.
Last Kind Words follows a 17-year-old boy (Daniels) who falls for a mysterious young woman (Fast) he meets in the forest where he’s found dead bodies hanging from the trees. Peep the trailer here.
Fast made her horror debut in 2006 with the zombie horror-comedy Fido. She has since gone on to star in the 2010 sci-fi thriller Repeaters and done guest spots on the TV shows “4400,” “Masters of Horrors” and “The Secret Circle.”
The sexy Canuck is best known, however, for her role as small town seductress Sandy in Paramount Pictures’ Tom Cruise actioner Jack Reacher.
“Magic City” starlet Elena Satine is taking a shot at network TV with a key role on NBC’s “The Sixth Gun,” a Carlton Cuse-produced pilot based on Oni Press’ graphic novel of the same name. Jeffrey Reiner (”Friday Night Lights”) will direct the project from a script by Ryan Condal (Hercules).
“The Sixth Gun” is a supernatural western revolving around six mythical pistols, each with a unique paranormal power. When the sixth gun—the most dangerous of all—falls into the hands of an innocent farmer’s daughter (Laura Ramsey), she is immediately targeted by undead outlaws.
Satine, best known as prostitute Judi Silver on Starz “Magic City,” will play the widow Missy Hume, a beautiful Madame whose fifth gun keeps the town of Brimstone mysteriously youthful. When she learns of the sixth gun, she sets out to acquire it by any means necessary.
Amber Tamblyn is set to star opposite Skeet Ulrich in the CBS pilot “Anatomy of Violence,” a crime drama based on British criminal psychologist Adrian Raine’s book “The Anatomy of Violence: The Biological Roots of Crime.”
Tamblyn plays a young FBI agent partnered up with a rogue FBI criminal psychiatrist (Ulrich) with whom she shares a “complicated past.” The pilot is written and executive produced by Howard Gordon (“Homeland”) and directed by Mark Pellington (Arlington Road, I Melt with You).
Tamblyn made her feature acting debut in Gore Verbinski’s 2002 frightener The Ring. Roles in Takashi Shimizu’s The Grudge 2 and Danny Boyle’s Oscar-nominated survival-drama 127 Hours followed. She was last seen as frumpy goody-two-shoes Dr. Martha Masters on the FOX medical drama “House.”
British stunner Kate Beckinsale is negotiations with Millennium/Nu Image to star in director Brad Anderson’s (The Call) Eliza Graves Stonehearst Asylum, a psychological thriller based on the 1945 Edgar Allan Poe story “The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether.”
Beckinsale will play Eliza Graves, a patient at a mental institute overrun by its inmates, now posing as doctors. A Harvard Medical School graduate arrives at the facility and falls so hard for Graves that he doesn’t realize he’s surrounded by psychos.
THR reports that production on the film is slated to begin on June 21 in Bulgaria. Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli and blow job enthusiast Mel Gibson are listed as producers. Genre babe and former Playboy model Christa Campbell serves as an executive producer.
Dimension Films has released a second trailer for its eagerly anticipated by no one sequel Scary Movie 5. Directed by Malcolm Lee (Undercover Brother) and co-written by producer David Zucker (Airplane), the horror-comedy opens in theaters on April 12.
This time out the spoof takes on Guillermo del Toro’s Mama, Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, Oren Peli’s Paranormal Activity, Blumhouses’ Sinister and Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead. The movie’s gags look lame, but the one-minute mark on the trailer does tickle us.
Lynn Collins (John Carter) and Josh Lucas (American Psycho) are set to topline A&E’s “Occult,” a Michael Bay-produced pilot penned by James Wong, writer for Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” and the Chris Carter classics “Millennium” and “The X-Files.”
“Occult” tells the story of two emotionally disturbed FBI agents paired up to head the newly formed Occult Crime Task Force. Dolan is returning to the bureau six months after suffering a meltdown while investigating the disappearance of his wife. His partner Blair is a stubborn and impulsive agent obsessed with the occult.
Collins is coming off the sci-fi actioner John Carter, in which she played Carter’s love interest Princess Dejah Thoris, her first starring role. Additional creds include HBO’s “True Blood,” William Friedkin’s creepy mind-bender Bug, Joel Schumacher’s The Number 23 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
