Anna-Walton-Leggy

British actress Anna Walton stars in award-winning FX artist Paul Hyett’s (Woman in Black) upcoming directorial debut The Seasoning House. Written by Hyett, the revenge thriller is described as a cross between Pan’s Labyrinth and Martyrs.

Peep the synopsis:

THE SEASONING HOUSE is a stylish, claustrophobic, nightmarish neo-horror about Angel, a young Balkan girl forced to work in a rape house during an unspecified war. After killing a militiaman, she goes on the run.

Rape house? I could be wrong, but I do believe that was the plot-line to the very last entry in the successful Kid ‘n Play House Party franchise. Boy, were Kid’s parents mad when they got home unexpectedly early that night!

Joining walton in The Seasoning House are Sean Pertwee (Doomsday), Jemma Powell (Alice in Wonderland), Kevin Howarth (Gallowwalker) and 17-year-old Rosie Day (“Bernard’s Watch”) as Angel.

Genre fans will recognize Walton from her roles as Princess Nuala in Guillermo del Toro’s Hell Boy II: The Golden Army and protector Severian in Simon Hunter’s Mutant Chronicles. The 31-year-old stunner also played Robinson Crusoe’s wife on the short-lived NBC adventure series “Crusoe.”

Kristin_Kreuk_Leggy

“Smallville” alumna Kristin Kreuk is set to star in The CW pilot “Beauty and the Beast,” a re-imagining that Deadline reports to be loosely based on the CBS series that ran in the late ’80s with Linda Hamilton and Ron Pearlman in the lead roles.

The re-do finds Kreuk playing beauty as a tough NYPD cop named Catherine who protects the identity of the man/beast vigilante—the victim of a military experiment gone bad—who avenged her mother’s murder nine years ago.

Kreuk is best known for her role as Clark Kent’s love interest Lana Lang on The CW’s “Smallville.” The Canadian stunner can also be seen in Shunji Iwai’s indie-pleaser Vampire with Rachael Leigh Cook, the less pleasing Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li and the hilarious comedy EuroTrip.
