Focus Features has released a trailer for screenwriter Lorene Scafaria’s (Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist) directorial debut Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, an apocalyptic romantic-dramedy starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley (pictured).

Set in a too-near future, a man searches for a meaningful connection as humanity’s last days are at hand. Can he find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge and Penny converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World costars Connie Britton (“American Horror Story”), Patton Oswalt (Young Adult), William Petersen (“CSI”), Adam Brody (Scream 4), Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine), Melanie Lynskey (“Two and a Half Men”) and Gillian Jacobs (“Community”).

The film arrives in theaters on June 22.
