Hungarian actress Andrea Osvart is ready to make an impact on American audiences. In addition to starring in the pilot episode of Cinemax’s small-screen adaptation of Luc Besson’s “The Transporter,” the beautiful 32-year-old former fashion model has been tapped by producer Eli Roth to star in Aftershock, a disaster flick set during the aftermath of the 2010 Chilean quake.
Plot details are scarce, but Osvart will play one of the earthquake survivors trying to stay safe and keep looters from running away with her TV and potted plants (just guessing that last part). Chilean director Nicolás López (Que Pena Tu Vida) will helm the project from a script by Guillermo Amoedo (The Crack).
Production on Aftershock starts shaking this spring.
