Lily-Collins-Snow-White

Looks like Lily Collins is the fairest of them all for Relativity Media’s re-imagining of the Brothers Grimm classic fairy tale Snow White. Collins, daughter to pop singer Phil Collins, has landed the titular role and will star alongside the obnoxious Julia Roberts and The Social Network’s Armie Hammer, who play the Evil Queen and the Prince.

Collins, best known for last year’s embarrassing Sandra Bullock vehicle The Blind Side, can soon be seen in Sony Screen Gems post-apocalyptic-vampire-frightener Priest. The 22-year-old up-and-comer will also play the lead in the studio’s adaptation of  author Cassandra Clare’s romantic teen-demon-slayer book series The Mortal Instruments.

Directed by Tarsem Singh (The Immortals), Snow White goes into production in May and aims to be in theaters on June 29, 2012.

The poster seen above showcasing actress Freida Pinto as Phaedra the oracle priestess is one of seven released by Relativity Media to promote their upcoming Clash of the Titans inspired swords-and-sandals epic The Immortals.

Directed by Tarsem Singh, The Immortals tells the story of Theseus (Henry Cavill), a mortal man chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans) to take down King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his bloodthirsty army before they find a deadly weapon that could destroy all of humanity.

Filling out the cast are Twilight’s Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, Stephen Dorf as master thief Stavros, Daniel Sharman as Ares and Isabel Lucas as the Goddess Athena. The film is set to be in theaters on Nov. 11.

Katy Perry Wants to Fuck a Black Guy, ‘E.T.’ Music Video a Metaphor!

Katy_Perry_Nude

Pop singer Katy Perry stars as a top-heavy alien creature out to have a close encounter with a robot in her new music video “E.T.”  If you’ve read or heard Perry speak about her strictly religious and conservative upbringing, you’ll know by video’s end—when the robot reveals itself—that the whole thing is just a metaphor for having sex with a black guy.

Poor, Russell Brand.

Gemma Arterton Is Hunting Witches On the Set of ‘Hansel & Gretel’

Gemma-Arterton-Gretel

Pictured above is British actress Gemma Arterton in Braunschweig, Germany on the set of Dead Snow director Tommy Wirkola’s Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, a flash forward of the classic fairy tale that finds the siblings hunting down supernatural forces for profit.

Arterton’s Gretel costume appears to have a hint of Underworld appeal, but I can’t give it the Clatto stamp-of-approval without seeing the backside. That will make or break this movie. I’d also like to see what villains Famke Janssen and Ingrid Bolso Berdal’s outfits look like.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters rolls camera on March 7. It’s expected to be in theaters in June 2012.

Sara Paxton Causes ‘Static’ in New Supernatural Thriller!

Sara-Paxton-Static

Actress Sara Paxton (The Innkeepers) is set to star opposite Sarah Shahi (“The L-Word”) and Milo Ventimiglia (“Heroes”) in upstart banner New Artists Alliance’s Static. The supernatural thriller marks music video director (I couldn’t find any creds) Todd Levin’s feature film debut.

Static centers on a bereaved couple (Shahi, Ventimiglia) teetering on divorce after the death of their child. The arrival of a mysterious young visitor soon changes their outlook, but at an unearthly cost. Budgeted at $1 million, the supernatural thriller will be shot in 3-D utilizing two Sony PMW-F3 cameras.

Paxton broke into horror in Rogue Pictures’ 2009 update of Wes Craven’s controversial classic The Last House on the Left. The pretty 22-year-old blonde played the role of Mari Collingwood, the good-natured coed abducted, tormented, and raped by psycho-killer Krug Stillo and his family of degenerates.

She can next be seen in Ti West’s haunted hotel spookshow The Innkeepers and David R. Ellis’ creature-feature Shark Night 3-D. Paxton can also be found on Clatto’s 20 Hottest Women Working in Horror/Sci-Fi Now.

adrianne-palicki-wonder-woman-new-costume-2

Adrianne Palicki was seen running around Hollywood last night shooting a chase scene for writer/producer David E. Kelly’s new “Wonder Woman” reboot. Photos from the set reveal that Palicki’s much maligned costume (“leaked” a couple weeks ago) has gone from shiny blue pants and boots to less shiny blue pants and red boots.

Palicki stars in the NBC produced pilot with the very sexy Elizabeth Hurley, who plays villainess Veronica Cale, and the less sexy Cary Elwes, who portrays  Henry Detmer, the acting CEO of Diana Prince’s (Wonder Woman’s altar ego) Themyscira Industries.

Call me a pervert purist, but I still think pants are the wrong way to go.

Snoot Entertainment got cameras rolling in Missouri today on director Adam Wingard’s eagerly somewhat anticipated followup to A Horrible Way to Die. Entitled You’re Next, the home-invasion frightener reunites Wingard with writer Simon Barrett and stars Aussie newcomer Sharni Vinson (pictured above) in her most terrifying role since Step Up 3-D.

You’re Next follows the Davison family as they’re attacked in their vacation home by a group of sadistic murderers armed with an array of shit-that’s-gonna-hurt-tools. The family’s only hope lies in their eldest son’s super-hot girlfriend (Vinson) whose mysterious past has made her hard to kill like Steven Seagal.

Costars include Wendy Glenn (11-11-11), Amy Seimetz (Bitter Feast), Nick Tucci (Undocumented), AJ Bowen (The Signal), Joe Swanberg (Horrible Way to Die), indie horror directors Ti West (The Innkeepers) and Calvin Reeder (The Oregonian), and old-school scream queen Barbara Crampton.

I was a tween with, maybe, three hairs on my nut-sac when I first saw Crampton getting oral from a decapitated head in 1985’s Re-Animator. A year later, I saw her decked out in bondage gear riding Jeffrey Combs in From Beyond. I’m not sure where I’m going with this … I like to be whipped and love amputee porn.

Gina Holden Paid Her Rent, Stars in ‘Sand Sharks’

gina-holden-sexy-saw

Shooting has wrapped on American World Pictures and Remember Dreaming Productions’ ridiculous new creature-feature Sand Sharks. Director Mark Atkins describes the film as a “Tremors-esqe Jaws homage” and promises “the fish will be out of the water and in the air as they seek and destroy.”

The official synopsis reads:

Prehistoric sand-dwelling sharks are unleashed on the island of White Sands when an underwater earthquake cracks open a crater deep beneath the ocean surface. The most menacing beasts to ever rule the waters, now rule the sand; with their monster appetites they mercilessly munch on anything that crosses their path.

While the Syfy Channel-like plot doesn’t quite get my motorboat running, knowing genre babe Gina Holden is involved has got me hook, line, and sinker. Holden, who starred in last year’s Saw 3-D, holds a long list of horror/sci-fi creds including Aliens vs. Predators: Requiem, Final Destination 3 and NBC’s “Harper’s Island.”

Sand Sharks costars “7th Heaven” hottie Julie Berman, Briana Evigan’s sister (there are two!) Vanessa Lee Evigan, Hulk Hogan’s ruggedly handsome daughter Brooke Hogan, Eric Scott Woods (Jonah Hex), and Corin Nemec (“Stargate: SG-1”).

‘The Avengers’ Cobie Smulders Talks Catsuit!

Cobie_Smulders_Avengers

“How I Met Your Mother” star Cobie Smulders plays S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill in Marvel Studios upcoming superhero sausage-fest The Avengers. As one of only two heroines in the film (Scarlett Johansson is Black Widow), the 28-year-old Canuck understands that a lot is riding on her camel-toe catsuit.

She tells Zap2It:

We start in April, which is like… tomorrow. I literally leave here and I go to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to shoot some scenes in a catsuit. I’ve tried on portions of the catsuit and I’ve seen conceptual drawings of what they want it to be.

It’s fascinating to me. I feel like wardrobe becomes very creative on these types of movies because they literally spend weeks designing just the pants or the emblem. It’s such an all-consuming process, so I’m excited to see how it all turns out.

Here’s hoping Marvel’s pants team is as creative as these talented peeps:

Amy Adams Is Lois Lane in ‘Superman’ Reboot!

Amy_Adams_Leggy

The Fighter’s Amy Adams has KO’d the competition to nab the role of Lois Lane in director Zach Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. She  joins a quickly growing cast that includes “Tudors” star Henry Cavill as the Man-of-Steel and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as his adoptive folks on Earth Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Snyder tells Hero Complex:

There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.

It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What’s important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance].

Adams, a three-time Oscar nominee for her supporting roles in Junebug, Doubt, and last year’s The Fighter, doesn’t have a lot of genre creds to her name. She did, however, guest star in a 2001 episode of “Smallville” entitled “The Craving,” in which she played Jodi Melville, a former-fattie–turned-cannibal that Superman must stop.
