Kate-Beckinsale-Leggy-Comic-Con-2011

Kate Beckinsale returned to Comic-Con this year in a big way. The British stunner performed double duty on Friday, promoting two of Sony’s most eagerly anticipated projects: Underworld 4: Awakening and Total Recall, a remake of the 1990 Paul Verhoeven sci-fi classic that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.

While most starlets rely on promo trailers and footage reels to whip fans into a frenzy during their panels, Beckinsale went the extra mile by showing off some serious legs in a short belted black dress and black Marcella satin pumps.

Underworld 4: Awakening will be in theaters on Jan. 20, 2012. Total Recall is slated for release in August of 2012.

Annabeth Gish & Pierce Brosnan Find ‘Bag of Bones’ On A&E!

Annabeth-Gish-Panties

Pierce Brosnan (Percy Jackson & the Olympians) and Annabeth Gish (pictured) are set to star in Sony Pictures Televison’s small-screen adaptation of the Stephen King bestseller “Bag of Bones.” The four-hour miniseries will air on A&E over two nights.

The synopsis reads:

Mike Noonan (Brosnan) is unable to stop grieving after the sudden death of his wife, Jo (Gish). A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s lakeside retreat in western Maine, where he becomes involved in a custody battle between the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather while dealing with mysterious ghostly visitations, ever-escalating nightmares, and the realization that his late wife still has something to tell him.

Sci-fi fans may recognize Gish as FBI agent Monica Reyes from the eighth and ninth seasons of “The X-Files.” The 40-year-old actress also starred as the mysterious Lita on ABC’s short-lived series “FlashForward.”

Bag of Bones is directed by Mick Garris (The Fly II) from a script by Matt Venne (Mirrors 2). Production on the show is set to begin next month in Nova Scotia, Canada.

adrianne-palicki-wonder-woman-hot

Like most fathers, mine always wants the best for me. “Son,” he says, “I hope that, if you ever get see a ‘Wonder Woman’ TV series in your lifetime, the actress playing the part is even hotter than Linda Carter was in my day. You deserve that much.”

My dad’s dream for me almost came to fruition when NBC ordered a pilot from writer/producer David E. Kelly for a new WW show with the very hot Adrianne Palicki in the role of the Amazonian heroine. But, alas, it was not meant to be.

Fortunately, someone managed to creep into NBC president Robert Greenblatt’s bedroom and swipe the pilot episode from underneath his mattress. Various clips from the show have gone online, but I am posting the one that features Palicki kicking ass in her short, star-spangled Underoos (Dad would want it that way).

Money shot at 3:22 mark!

Eve will next be seen in director Barry Sonnenfeld’s Men in Black 3-D, in which she plays MIB head Olivia circa 1960, and in director David Brooks’ serial killer frightener ATM. She had been set to star in 20th Century Fox’s recent superhero flick X-Men: First Class, but lost the part to “Mad Men’s” January Jones.

Paranormal-Activity-3

If it’s Halloween, it must be SAW … oh, wait, I mean Paranormal Activity.

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the third installment of its lucrative horror movie franchise Paranormal Activity. Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the guys behind last year’s creepy social media suspense tale Catfish, the new film serves as a prequel set in 1988.

Peep it:

Wow, after all these years, the Bloody Mary legend still freaks me the fuck out. I’m hooked. I look forward to seeing what else Joost and Schulman bring to the table. Catfish wasn’t a horror movie, but it was all white-knuckle up until the reveal.
