Australian actress Melissa George is set to join Pierce Brosnan (Percy Jackson & the Olympians) and Annabeth Gish (“X-Files”) in director Mick Garris’ (The Fly II) small-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s bestselling novel “Bag of Bones.”
The two-part, four-hour miniseries tells the tale of a Mike Noonan (Brosnan), a widower who gets mixed up with an attractive young widow (George) while visiting the lakeside retreat he once shared with his wife (Gish)—whom he still sees in his dreams.
George made both her acting and nude debuts in New Line Cinema’s 1998 sci-fi mind-bender Dark City. Her first starring role came in 2005 as tormented wife Katy Lutz in the Platinum Dunes remake of The Amityville Horror.
George’s additional creds include David Slade’s 30 Days of Night, John Stockwell’s Turistas, and Christopher Smith’s acclaimed time-loop thriller Triangle. The sexy 34-year-old shelia will next be seen in Julian Gilbey’s survival frightener A Lonely Place to Die.
Bag of Bones rolls camera next month in Nova Scotia, Canada. The film will air on A&E.
