Anchor Bay Entertainment is releasing director Charlie Picerni’s long-delayed vampire actioner The Bleeding on DVD and Blu-ray on March 1, 2011. The film marks the big screen debuts of tattoo-artist-turned-reality-show-personality (“Miami Ink,” “LA Ink”) Kat Von D and Playboy model and UFC Octagon Girl Rachelle Leah.
Peep the trailer:
The film’s synopsis reads:
Shawn Black (Michael Matthias) knows pain. His parents and brother were killed in front of him. Beaten, bloodied and left for dead by a gang of ruthless vampires led by the charismatic Cain (Vinnie Jones) and his lethal lieutenant Vanya (Kat Von D).
But like his would-be murderers, Shawn has come back from the brink of death to take his revenge. He soon comes upon Reverend Roy (Michael Madsen), who reveals to Shawn his calling as a “slayer,” the only human capable of truly destroying vampires.
I don’t know what role Rachelle Leah plays in the flick, but I’m just grateful to have an opportunity to see her in something that doesn’t involve roided-out sweaty guys attempting to butt drag each other.
The Bleeding costars 2006 Penthouse Pet Krista Ayne (Bad Biology), rapper/criminal DMX, and boy-their-careers-took-a-major-wrong-turn actors William McNamara (Copycat), and Armand Assante (Judge Dredd).
Studio Canal’s remake of the 1970 British abduction-thriller And Soon the Darkness opens in limited theatrical release this Friday, but you can catch a glimpse of sexy 25-year-old starlet Odette Yustman acting her ass off while wearing a bikini in the following clip (courtesy of UGO):
Wow. Now, that’s some seriously good bikini acting. Still, I can’t help but wonder how much more emotionally powerful the performance would have been if Yustman had made a more bold choice and gone with a thong.
Directed by newcomer Marcos Efron, And Soon the Darkness stars Yustman and self declared vagetarian Amber Heard as American girls on an Argentinian bike-riding excursion that goes terribly wrong when one of them is abducted.
You can pick up a DVD and/or Blu-ray edition of the film on Dec. 28.
Thora Birch and her big American beauties have been fired from an Off Broadway revival of the 1927 Hamilton Deane-John L. Balderston play “Dracula.” Birch, who was set to make her New York stage debut this week as Count Dracula’s love interest Lucy Seward, was kicked to the curb after her degenerate ex-por-star-turned-manager father, Jack, threatened an actor for touching his property daughter’s back.
I can’t have one of my actors in a situation where he is physically threatened by the father of anyone. It was odd to have Jack Birch around so much.
Thora was surprised by the decision and continues to employ and trust her creepy dad despite the fact that her once promising career has given over to roles in straight-to-DVD fare such as Train and Deadline.
She says:
For three weeks I was just doing my thing, and everything I hear was positive, that the work I was doing was wonderful. Maybe it’s some kind of misunderstanding. I mean, there had been no tensions, everything was going wonderfully.
Then Friday they just asked me to leave the building. I’m totally in a state of shock over this, I still can’t believe it.
My dad is my support, and he is the best support that I could ever have.
Hmm, Thora’s relationship with her dad is starting to look even creepier than “Caprica’s” Alessandra Torresani’s.
Jack Birch and his wife (aka: Carol Conners) starred in the Linda Lovelace adult classic Deep Throat. Jack is known to be a creep on Hollywood sets, often cheerleading Thora’s performances during her nude simulated sex scenes.
Up next for Thora is director Susanna Lo’s upcoming bio-pic Manson Girls. The 28-year-old starlet will play Nancy Pitman, a Charles Manson cult follower who later served time for her involvement in a deadly Aryan Brotherhood murder.
Good news for porn fans in committed relationships. You won’t have to slip any Lunesta pills into your girl’s hot cocoa to catch a eyeful of AVN Award-winning cock-socket (it’s an industry term of endearment I hear) Tori Black. The 22-year-old star of Cum Coat My Throat 4 and Black Up In Her has been cast as the female lead in Breaking Glass Pictures’ werewolf frightener Half Moon, available on DVD on March 1.
The film’s official synopsis (in case your wife asks):
Half Moon is the story of Rose, a down-on-her-luck prostitute who’s short on cash. When she hears of a mysterious client named Jacob who pays a large sum of money for one night in a hotel, she goes against her better judgment and takes the assignment.
At the hotel, Jacob proves to be a strange client: he’s willing to pay up front, and is more interested in honest conversation than anything else. Then, just as Rose begins to feel at ease, she learns that Jacob is about to undergo a transformation by the light of the full moon – and she’s about find herself trapped in close quarters with a terrifying monster.
Now, just don’t let your old lady catch you playing pocket pool during the flick.
Disney has released the first official trailer for its highly anticipated sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, arriving in theaters on May 20. Directed by Rob Marshall, the film follows Captain Jack Sparrow’s quest to find the Fountain of Youth.
The trailer provides a look at “Deadwood’s” Ian McShane as the notorious pirate Blackbeard and Penelope Cruz as his daughter Angelica. More interestingly, however, to those of us with penises is the peek at the naturally and amply endowed sirens out to seduce Sparrow, namely French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey and Australian model-turned-actress Gemma Ward.
Fans of scream queen and August ‘07 Playboy model Christa Campbell (2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams) are gonna wanna drive fast to the movie theater when Summit Entertainment’s supernatural road-rage actioner Drive Angry 3-D pulls into theaters on Feb. 11, 2011.
Word from a trusted Clatto source (they’re multiplying) is that the 38-year-old stunner goes nude (T&A) during a catfight with Hollywood starlet and self-declared carpet muncher Amber Heard.
I won’t pass along any spoilers because the film sounds like the kind of fun ride best experienced on your own in a dark movie house with a bucket of popcorn and some KY Warming Gel, but I’m told it rivals the 8-minute Betsy Rue nude scene (a classic) in director Patrick Lussier’s 2009 hit My Bloody Valentine 3-D.
Christa Campbell will make you drive horny
Drive Angry 3-D stars Nicolas Cage as a damned soul who escapes from hell to run down the pricks that murdered his daughter and abducted his grandchild. The film also costars William Fichtner (“Invasion”), Billy Burke (Twilight Saga), David Morse (Disturbia), and Charlotte Ross (“NYPD BLUE”)—who also goes nude in the flick (read about it here).
Looks like we finally have a 3-D film worth the price of admission.
You got to hand it to Italian model/actress Monica Bellucci. Whereas most Hollywood starlets fill their memoirs with words and punctuation, the still-very-gorgeous 46-year-old starlet has released a 240-page book of photographs detailing every breathtaking curve of her twenty-year career.
Simply entitled “Monica Bellucci,” the book includes a wide variety of sexy portraits taken by such noted photographers as Bruce Weber, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Fabrizio Ferri, Richard Avedon and Ellen von Unwerth. An introduction by Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso) gets the pages turning.
Bellucci first struck a large bulbous nerve with American movie audiences playing disenchanted trophy wife Persephone in Andy and Lana Wachowski’s The Matrix: Reloaded. The part led to roles in The Matrix: Revolutions, Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, Terry Gilliam’sThe Brothers Grimm, and most recently Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and the French psychological-thriller Don’t Look Back.
Of course, it’s Bellucci’s graphic ten-minute ass-rape in Gasper Noe’s Irreversible that remains her tour de force performance.
“Monica Bellucci” by Monica Bellucci is published by Rizzoli and is now available for purchase everywhere that books are sold.
Amy Smart is set to star in Lake Dead director George Bessudo’s soon-to-shoot supernatural thriller Glimmer. The insanely sexy 34-year-old Cali native will play Annie Tuttle, a married woman attempting to keep unborn child safe from a mysterious entity.
The film’s synopsis reads:
When 16-year-old Annie Tuttle takes a walk at her lakefront home, she spots a young girl standing on the ice-covered lake. As Lucy falls through the ice, Annie hurries to rescue her and sees a figure at the center of the lake; the figure seems to shimmer and disappear before her eyes.
Nine years later Annie is happily married to Jack Cole. Annie gets a letter which reads: “It’s going to kill you. Come alone”. The letter leads her to the Granger Institute and Lucy Talbot – the girl from the lake. Lucy explains that the GLIMMER will never let her live.
Outside Annie meets up with Gabe, the local deputy and a former boyfriend. In Lucy’s room Annie and Gabe discover two pictures and a page torn from a book dating back to 1698; in them the figure of Eldridge Peck appears, a man executed for being a witch. Meanwhile Annie has discovered a link between the Peck family and her husband, Jack.
Annie must race against time to save herself and her unborn child from the GLIMMER.
So far, the only other name attached to star in Glimmer is Canadian actor and Resident Evil: Afterlife heavy Shawn Roberts. As the cast begins to fill out, I hope Bessudo remembers to once again call on his very attractive Lake Dead starlet Kelsey Wedeen.
Smart can next be seen opposite Grindhouse babe Rose McGowan and Terminator 3’s Nick Stahl in New Films upcoming psychological-thriller Dead Awake.
Her genre creds include Alexandre Aja’s Mirrors (in which she turns in one of horror’s most disturbing death scenes), the zombie-apocalypse frightener Seventh Moon, Dee Snyder’s Strangeland, New Line’s Butterfly Effect, 1997’s Campfire Tales, and Paul Verhoeven’s Starship Troopers.
When I heard that pop star Phil Collins had a daughter, I imagined her to be short, bald, and an excellent drummer. Imagine my surprise when I discovered she actually looked human (see above). Well, the surprises keep coming for yours truly.
Turns out Lily Collins is an actress and has just been cast as the lead in director Scott Charles Stewart’s (Legion) adaptation of author Cassandra Clare’s romantic teen-demon-slayer book series The Mortal Instruments. Collins will play Clary Fray, a 15-year-old girl with undiscovered supernatural powers who falls in love with a bad-boy “Shadowhunter” while attempting to rescue her mother from demons.
If that’s not enough to get tween girls’ hearts aflutter, Clare’s book cover looks like this:
“City of Bones” is the first book in “The Mortal Instruments” series.
Collins will next star in Stewart’s upcoming vampire-apocalypse frightener Priest. Her only other horror cred is last year’s white-woman-helps-black-kid-be-more-white update The Blind Side.
For those of you under the age of 25: Lily’s father, Phil Collins, ruined Genesis for hippies in the ’70s, but was embraced by generations to come with hits such as “In the Air Tonight,” “Sussudio,” and the R&B classic “Easy Lover” with Philip Bailey.
DreamWorks said knock you out. I’m gonna knock you out … with the first teaser trailer for the studio’s upcoming robot-boxing actioner Real Steel.
Set in a future where human boxing is no longer legal, the film stars Hugh Jackman as a former boxer-turned-fight-promoter who reunites with his estranged 11-year-old son to build a dueling robot for a tournament.
Evangeline Lily (“LOST”) costars in the movie as Jackman’s attractive friend with breasts. If you look closely, you can see her cheering in the audience. It’s a brief moment, but she does have her mouth open look pretty.
