Selma Blair (Hellboy II: The Golden Army) and Rachel Miner (Penny Dreadful) have been cast in music video director Jeremy Regimbal’s feature film debut The Replicas. The home invasion thriller costars James D’Arcy (An American Haunting) and Josh Close (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), who also penned the script.

The Replicas follows a husband and wife as they attempt to survive an unexpected visit from a murderous couple the Sakowskis while visiting a family cottage to grieve the loss of their youngest son.

While it’s easy to see either Blair or Miner in the film’s homicidal hottie role, I’m hoping the part will go to Miner. Her bad girl performance as submissive-assistant-turned-ball-ripping-agent Dani on Showtime’s “Californication” is as infuriating as it is sexy. I’m eager to see just how mean she can play.
