On-the-set images from Sony Screen Gems upcoming girl-on-girl thriller The Roommate have hit the web. A re-imagining of the 1992 Bridgett Fonda thriller Single White Female, the film stars “Gossip Girl” Leighton Meester as an emotionally unstable college coed obsessed with her dorm-mate, played by Minka Kelly—Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive 2010.
The Roommate is directed by Christian E. Christiansen and costars Billy Zane (Dead Calm), Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Katerina Graham (“The Vampire Diaries”), Alyson Michalka (”Hellcats”), Lauren Storm (Whore), Danneel Harris (”One Tree Hill”), and Frances Fisher (”Eureka”).
Producers Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody (Resident Evil: Afterlife) have tapped director Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) to helm Silent Hill: Revelation 3-D, the eagerly-awaited sequel to their 2006 adaptation of Konami’s bestselling video game Silent Hill.
The plot (via press release):
For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
But, will there be more sexy faceless nurses?
The original Silent Hill, directed by Christophe Gans and penned by Roger Avary, has earned over $99 million worldwide and over $22 million in U.S. DVD sales. The film starred Aussie actress Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean.
Pictured above is the first still from writer/director Rob Hall’s upcoming sequel ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2. The film, which began principal photography this week in Los Angeles, stars Thomas Dekker (Nightmare on Elm Street), Danielle Harris (Halloween), Michael Biehn (Terminator), Brian Austin Green (proprietor of Megan Fox’s vagina) , and Nick Principe as ChromeSkull.
Hall says (via press release):
We’re doubling the carnage and doubling the fun. I know we raised the bar on the last one but people have no idea what’s in store in that department for the sequel- it’s the original and THEN SOME.
I’m so happy to have such a stellar cast involved and I think [producer/cowriter Kevin Bocarde] and I have come up with a cool way to bring Chromey back without going all nutty and breaking our own rules.
Laid to Rest starred Bobbi Sue Luther as a prostitute who wakes up in a coffin with temporary amnesia and must evade the sadistic killer who abducted her. Aside from ChromeSkull’s shiny noggin, his shoulder mounted camcorder differentiates him from other movie maniacs.
ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 is slated for a 2011 Halloween release.
Diana Terranova owns a pair of the hardest working breasts in Hollywood. The genre babe has made a career out of playing such timeless roles as “Stripper,” “Lap Dancer,” “Pizza Slut,” “Night Club Dancer,” “Go-Go Dancer,” “Dancer #3,” and “Boobs Chick.”
This year, however, Terranova scored the opportunity to portray a character with a name in The Asylum’s upcoming supernatural thriller 8213 Gacy House. Cast as ghost-hunter Janina Peslo, the veteran starlet shows off her acting range as well as her fun-bags.
Peep the trailer:
The film follows a group of paranormal investigators as they attempt to summon the spirit of fag, child-killer John Wayne Gacy … and succeed. Soon, Gacy’s ghost—in Pogo the Clown makeup—is scratching the girls and ass-raping the males.
8213 Gacy House costars Rachel Riley (Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus), Jim Lewis (Camel Spiders), Matthew Temple (Animals), Michael Gaglio (Sharktopus), Brett A. Newton and Sylvia Panacione.
Australian actors Sharni Vinson (pictured above) and Xavier Samuel have been cast in directors Russell Mulcahy and Kimble Rendall’s upcoming creature-feature Bait 3-D. Set in a serene beach community overcome by a deadly tsunami, the film centers on a group of survivors trapped in a supermarket with man-eating tiger sharks.
I’m totally sportin’ a woody over this premise. When hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and the streets flooded, I remember hearing that the sharks from the Aquarium of the Americas had been broken free and were feeding on a buffet of floating dead bodies.
Turns out that wasn’t true, but since then I can’t see a news story about a tsunami or flood without thinking how awesome terrifying it would be if maneaters became part of the equation.
Mulcahy, whose director creds include Resident Evil: Extinction and Highlander, further explained his vision in a video interview released awhile back.
Check it out:
Vinson cut her teeth in the States with guest spots on such popular shows as “Cold Case,” “NCIS,” and “CSI: NY.” The 27-year-old sheila scored her major motion picture debut this year in Summit Entertainment’s horrifying Step Up 3-D.
Xavier Samuel landed his own breakthrough role this summer as vampire Riley Biers in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. He will next play the abducted crush of a psychotic wallflower in writer/director Sean Byrne’s award-winning TIFF darling The Loved Ones.
Bait 3-D also stars “Nip/Tuck” bad boy Julian McMahon, Alice Parkinson (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), cute up-and-comer Phoebe Tonkin, Damien Garvey (The Daybreakers), Lincoln Lewis (Voodoo Lagoon), Martin Sacks, Alexander Russell, Qi Yuwu, and Adrian Pang.

A full-length trailer for Warner Bros/ Legendary Pictures’ girl-power fantasy-actioner Sucker Punch has hit the web. Written and directed by Zack Snyder (Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole), the film stars Emily Browning as a madhouse loon in a sexy schoolgirl outfit slowly surrendering her grip on reality while attempting to deal with the loss of her loved ones.
Peep the trailer suckas:
The film’s official—and ridiculously—long synopsis reads:
“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary.
She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls—the outspoken Rocket, the street-smart Blondie, the fiercely loyal Amber and the reluctant Sweet Pea—to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors.
Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man, their unbelievable journey—if they succeed—will set them free.
Do they pay publicists by the word these days? Seems to me all they needed to say was “Hey, we got young girls in revealing fetish wear fighting Nazi robots and shit.”
Sucker Punch costars Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jaime Chung, Carla Gugino, and Jena Malone. Vagina-less cast members include “Mad Men’s” Jon Hamm, Scott Glen, and Oscar Isaac.
Scarlett Johansson is set to star as a horny killer alien with magnificent breasts in director Jonathan Glazer’s adaptation of author Michel Faber’s novel Under the Skin. The news was announced by studio FilmNation at the American Film Market (AFM) being held in Santa Monica, CA this week.
FilmNation states:
Johansson plays an alien on earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerizing woman. She scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey — her voracious sexuality.
She is deadly efficient, but over time becomes drawn to and changed by the complexity of life on earth. With this new found humanity and weakening alien resolve, she finds herself on a collision course with her own kind. Taking her point of view throughout, the film presents a unique look at our world through alien eyes.
Glazer, who cowrote the kinky 2004 Nicole Kidman psychological-thriller Birth, penned the script with some guy named Walter Campbell. The film goes into production in spring of 2011.
Johansson’s genre creds include Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 2, Frank Miller’sThe Spirit, Brian De Palma’s The Black Dahlia, Eight Legged Freaks, and Michael Bay’s highly underrated The Island. She is also reprising her Iron Man 2 role of Natasha Romanov/Black Widow in geek-messiah Joss Whedon’s upcoming Avengers film, set to shoot in Feb. of 2011.
Playboy cover model and Bitch Slap star America Olivo plays potential serial killer fodder in Indican Pictures’ new frightener Circle, available on DVD and VOD on Nov. 16. The film follows a group of graduate students trying to stay alive in the childhood house of a vicious killer who has just returned home.
Peep the boobs trailer:
The film’s official synopsis reads:
When sociopath James Bennett commits a series of brutal murders and then escapes a maximum security mental hospital, the FBI teams up with the U.S. Marshalls to stop him.
Unfortunately Bennett is going back to his childhood home, where six graduate students are studying his surroundings for their thesis. Aided by Dr. Green the authorities now must unravel a sociopaths mind, ancient Greek philosophy and all before Bennett slaughters more people!
Olivo, whose creds include Platinum Dunes Friday the 13th remake and the indie-horror The Last Resort, plays an annoying party-girl from South Beach, Miami.
I just tag along because my boyfriend’s a part of the research group. I’m the obnoxious, I-shouldn’t-be-here character. I have a Cuban accent and I’m not having it, the research thing. I’m the party girl of the group. I’m sort of the comic relief of it.
Yeah, only if you find big boobs funny!
Circle costars babes Erin Foster (“The O.C.”), Kinsey Packard (Infestation), Erin Reese (Buried Alive), and milfy Gail O’Grady (“NYPD Blue”). Vagina-less stars include Silas Weir Mitchell (Halloween 2), Michael DeLuise (He Was a Quiet Man), Ryan Doom (The Roommate) and soap star Jason Thompson.
South African model-turned actress Tanit Phoenix is rumored to be in the running for the role of Wonder Woman in writer/producer David E. Kelly’s TV adaptation of DC Comics’ beloved Amazonian heroine. Standing at 5-foot-nine, it’s easy to see the 29-year-old stunner stepping into Lynda Carter’s iconic red boots and tiara.
Until Kelly faces the Lasso of Truth, we won’t know if the rumor is true. What is certain, however, is Phoenix’s role as narrator on Cinemax’s new 13-part mystery series “Femme Fatales.” While producers cite films such as the Wachowski brothers’ Bound and John Dahl’s Red Rock West as inspiration, the show seems to be an American ripoff version of Univision’s sexy anthology series “Mujeres Asesinas (Murderous Women).”
Phoenix can currently be seen as a vampire-romance novelist in the Corey Feldman dead horse Lost Boys: The Thirst. Next year, she can be seen playing an ex-military sniper opposite Danny Trejo in the Universal Pictures’ sequel Death Race 2: Frankenstein Lives, available on DVD and Blu-ray disc on Jan. 18, 2011.
Horror icon John Carpenter is set to direct a big screen adaptation of Randy Queen’s bestselling comic book series “Darkchylde.” Carpenter’s Storm King Productions and Queen’s Darkchylde Ent. will produce. Effects will be handled by Academy Award-winning effects house Weta Workshop (Lord of the Rings, Avatar).
Queen describes Darkchylde:
[Darkchylde] revolves around a very pretty girl’s curse that allows her to transform into different creatures from her nightmares. Ariel Chylde is a physical pandora’s box, and these creatures borrow her blood and bones to hitchhike over to our world. Everytime Ariel changes, she sets a different creature free in her small southern town.
“Darkchylde” was released in 1996 and featured its heroine in various forms of undress. Not surprisingly, the comic went on to outsell such popular books as Spiderman, Batman, and Superman during its run.
Carpenter made his return to horror after a nine-year hiatus this year with his all-girl madhouse-thriller The Ward, starring Amber Heard, Danielle Panabaker, and model/actress Laura Leigh.
