Teri Hatcher will leap from Wisteria Lane to “Smallville” this fall when she guest stars on the show’s 10th and final season. The 45-year-old stunner will play Lois Lane’s mother in an episode entitled “Abandoned.”

Hatcher, who played Lois Lane on the 1993 ABC series “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” will be seen as the late Ella Lane in video footage found by “Smallville’s” own Lois, Erica Durance.

Hatcher, of course, is best known today for playing milfy ditz Suzanne Mayer on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.” Her horror/sci-fi creds are limited, but include guest starring roles on episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation (“The Outrageous Okona”),” “Quantum Leap (“Star-Crossed”),” and “Tales from the Crypt (“The Thing from the Grave”).” She also lent her vocal talents to last year’s twisted animated frightener Coraline.

“Smallville’s” final season takes off tonight.
