Paramount Pictures Goes Back to the Well for ‘The Ring 3-D’

Paramount Pictures announced that it will go back to the well to conjure up a second sequel to its 2002 supernatural-thriller The Ring. Scripted by newcomer David Loucka (Dream House), The Ring 3-D will reportedly be more youth-oriented than the original and may center around a group of teens who discover a VHS player that still works.

Based on the 1998 Japanese film Ringu, The Ring starred Naomi Watts as a single mother trying to save her child from the vengeful spirit of a murdered girl who tracks and kills people through the use of a cursed videotape.

Uh-oh, if you just watched that, you will die in seven days. Too bad for you, cause this new sequel could be pretty damn creepy.

The Ring franchise established Watts as a star in the States and has earned over $411 million in worldwide gross.

Watts made our list of the Ten Hottest Horror/Sci-i Babes of the Past Decade.
