Horror & Hilarity Rule in Eli Craig’s ‘Tucker and Dale VS. Evil’

Imagine Deliverance meets “Three’s Company” and you have a good idea of the hilarity to be found in director Eli Craig’s ingenious hillbilly-horror-comedy Tucker and Dale VS. Evil. Flipping the script on the backwoods-hillbilly genre, T&D follows two well-intentioned country bumpkins trying to survive a weekend of horrors at the hands of vacationing college kids who have mistaken them for killers. The film will have its world premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, held Jan. 21 – 31.

“Firefly’s” Alan Tudyk and “Reapers” Tyler Labine star as the titular heroes Tucker and Dale, respectively. Costars include Katrina Bowden, Chelan Simmons (Final Destination 3, Malibu Shark Attack), Brandon Jay McLaren (Tron: Legacy, “Harper’s Island”), Christie Laing (Scary Movie 4), and Sasha Craig (Dark Wolf).
